Hi, I don’t really post here often, but what is the current stance on more than 10 houses? It feels pretty unlikely imo because wouldn’t we see more house permits at this point?

Not all of the house permits (for this year so far) came out at once. They've been spread apart by a few days. Be patient. Also please read all the posts on here about the SS 24 permits lol

Permits are not submitted or published until a build design is complete. The soundstages are typically built last, and we have seen permits arrive as late as March. In 2023, the first permits dropped on 11 Jan and the last permits dropped in mid February.

So, no, nothing tells us they’re done with permits. This is especially true with the “A/B” aspect that spoken about ad naseum already.

They start even earlier now, with July now being the start of planning.

Obviously they know as soon as that 11th or 12th permit is filed, the fan base will go nuts. I feel they're gonna try to hold out as long as they can and maybe do their own teaser/announcement to coincide with it.

While more permits could show up at anytime, I think there's something to ponder here. Namely, if we're getting 12 houses as rumored...where's the 12th one going? When you think about it, options are somewhat limited due to several former locations being unable to hold a house. So there could very well be another soundstage house to make it 7.

Yes, I know it would make the queue situation all the weirder, but we're already getting weird with a rumor of 12 houses so this is par for the course.

if they were to viably say, "we are gonna make 12 houses" they either gotta use one of the parade warehouses. or build a entirely new temporary tent. plus i dont see them doing another soundstage because of how much is gonna be going on back there. so it has to be BoH

These all come to mind for a potential 12th location:

• Soundstage 20
• Another new sprung tent
• Cafe La Bamba
• Villain-Con flex space

Of these, I think Soundstage 20 or a 5th sprung tent are the most likely. Soundstage 20 could share an entrance with Soundstage 23's portals (assuming the current theory about 23 having a portal split at the front turns out correct), or the same could be done in tent city, considering there seems to be plenty of space for a 5th tent to be added alongside the two new ones.

Anyone with better knowledge please correct me if I'm wrong, but in 2020, Cafe La Bamba was being heavily considered as a new house location to replace the 2nd Shrek theater, until it wasn't.

It'd be chaotic queue-wise, but I could see them using the back half of the building (the area you pass by when exiting Sprung 3/4).

I can understand why people might not like Terrifier but hats off to them if they actually do it. The event desperately needs at least one house of hard, brutal sincerity.

The Body Collectors houses depicted kills that were at least nearly as graphic.
