Well if we're speculating on anything now, give me an I Think You Should Leave house

I am curious to see if we could finally see multi night tickets revamped. I think them requiring a starting date for them last year was a good first step.

I'm generally against those that keep running the same house over and over again.

BUT, if we got an Adult Ghost Tour house...I'd be that guy.

Universal is a VERY AGRESSIVE park. I MEAN, you walk by Horror Nights and you see 50 guys who look JUST LIKE ME fighting over very complicated Halloween Horror Nights LORE, YOU GO IN. Yes, you do. You go in.

Hey, Codeman, have I told you that they have this one shirt that costs $1000 cause the design is so wild. I want that one SO BAD.

Just imagining getting to see Karl Havoc, Santa Claus' Detective Crashmore, or The Big Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Day Parade Float in a house fills me with a fear i'd only expect from a Horror Nights House.

Let's go for a "Dylan's Burger," "Sloppy Steaks," "Totally-Shareable-Nachos," and "Hot Dog Sleeve" food stand too.

"You can't change the rules just because you don't like how I'm doing it."

Alright I'm done lol

This was a random thought I had, but if Uni were to go the route of "direct" with Bethesda, I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted Uni to put a lot of Fallout 76 in a house. I could see them wanting to cash in an opportunity to get more people to join their live service game.

I don't think they'd do that honestly. The show, without making any direct references to 76, just naturally skyrocketed the game's popularity as people started wanting to play it and get into the games after watching the show. I think Bethesda understands a haunted house would likely do the same (albeit probably not on as big of a scale, but it would still get the job done well enough).

If the house goes the show route which I doubt and they'd go the game route as they did with LOU, I wouldn't doubt them wanting to make references to 76 with little easter eggs and it'd be nice to see references to 3, New Vegas and 4 in the house as well.

the show could be much more easier to adapt and then to promote for the house I think. easier for people to watch and then visit.

it's not hard to do that with the video game its very simple, seeing with what Universal did before with RE and Silent Hill despite, the Silent Hill house being more so to tie in-between the games and movie at that time.

Generally speaking, that costs a lot more since you're not just paying the developer but the studio and might have to pay some royalties or likeness fees for characters and/or voice cues. You also run the risk of an active show wanting you to change your plans based on their future/developing plans.

If you base it on a videogame, the fees are a lot less and the story you're telling is set in stone (granted, open world, DLC, etc).

I highly doubt they'll do it, because there's an actual Vault 34 in lore, and that Vault is in New Vegas

But if you visit a Vault 34 in the house that would be a cute nod to the event year

Ironically Vault 31 is in the TV show

Lol what? What "fake IPs"? I was caught up to date with 2023 spec and don't remember anything like that. The only thing I can think of is Demon Slayer, but I think that was only because of Fan Fest Nights brainstorming like @Brian G. said

Wasn’t there a trend a couple years back (don’t remember if it was 2023), where folks internal to Universal were using IP names to refer to different houses? (just an illustrative example: “IT” representing Oddfellow, etc.) in order to flood the zone with titles to confuse the rumor mill?

Maybe that was @Legacy or someone else speculating one method they could be using to keep things under wraps. Or I’m making it up, but have a vague recollection of this.

I'm pretty sure you were right. I don't remember the year or details, but I do remember a lot of crazy house rumors and someone, probably Legacy, saying it was an effort to weed out which departments were leaking the info.

I still hope they go the original-IP route for Fallout. Set it in Orlando too and go really meta with it. That would be so funny. If they adapt the TV show I'll be fine with that too but I think original-IP is the best way to go. You can include stuff from both the video games and the TV series if it's an original concept

Would be fun if the storyline is that you are part of a vault and decide to escape and see the world for yourself. Super simple and easy for Joe bloggs to follow, opens up the storyline nicely for lots of surprises, and gives a lot of room to breathe design wise whilst also retaining that naive humour from your “colleagues” who have lived a sheltered life
