At this moment in time, I'm feeling that the frontrunners for next year are:
The Last of Us Part 2 (Video Game) - With the second season of TLoU premiering next year, HHN's close partnership with Sony over the last few years, and the IP's popularity in 2023, I feel like this is the most likely franchise to appear at the event.
Blumhouse: M3GAN & The Black Phone 2 - The event has promoted Blumhouse properties heavily in recent years, and it would make sense to feature their two franchises that will be getting sequels next year.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice - While WB IPs tend to be a rarity at the event these days, Beetlejuice may be a special case due to the park already having the license to use the character. This could fill the role of the more marketable and family friendly IP of the event.
Jason Voorhees - The "Jason Universe" initiative that was announced earlier this year listed "immersive experiences" as a part of their plan. With the major legal issues with the IP seemingly over, Jason could potentially serve as a "classic slasher" headliner for the event.
Other IPs I feel that could potentially show up are FNaF (if an agreement can be made with the creator), Smile (never seen it, but people keep talking about it), Silent Hill, and possibly Thanksgiving? (might be too niche, but it is getting a sequel next year).
I do believe the claim that we won't be getting Universal Monsters next year, as it's probably time for a break after 6 consecutive years, plus the fact that they'll now have a year-long presence at Epic going forward.
