I hope y'all are potentially ready to binge all of American Dad again!

I for one would welcome this. It made speculation season very fun in 2022, and American Dad is genuinely a very entertaining show, so that helps a lot.

People are laugh reacting but I genuinely would not be surprised if we saw Jimmy Fallon's TonightMares at HHN

I enjoy the laugh reactions lol it means the Fallon house could be modified to be the comedy house.

I do believe Tonightmares was very well done from the videos I've seen, and it was a great way for the HHN team to branch out, but I don't think there's any chance we'll ever see it appear at the event proper. Besides the IP not being a strong draw for a Halloween event, the maze itself was designed specifically to stand on its own as one long experience that's uniquely tailored for the New York area. While Fallon is present throughout the whole experience with his narration, most of the scenes are just various classic Halloween archetypes that are lightly themed to the IP. As is, I don't think the maze would work at Horror Nights without a significant overhaul, but I wouldn't be surprised if it returns to New York next year.

My buddy who did it said "It's great for NY, but wouldn't hold up to the haunts down here."

Fully agree about Tonightmares, which I did towards the end of its run - it was fine, the production quality and some of the effects showed the HHN connection, but it was nowhere near as good as any of the HHN houses on either coast this past year.

at first the first impressions I saw about the Jimmy Fallon haunt were pretty positive,
but then recently I saw a YouTube review that was kind of really negative.
some YouTube guy went inside with a glasses camera and a night vision camera and he really didn't seem to love it
he said it was too expensive and disappointing.
it surprised me.

I'd love to see them try something like Triplets again but just with one killer kid. Imagine a little diva going all Veruca Salt through a town.

the triplets house should have been an icon house with eddie. eddie killing people in his neighborhood writes itself.

I know American Dad backwards and forwards, so it’s easy for me to connect episodes to houses.

The only other shows I know anywhere near as well are Bob’s Burgers and Rick and Morty. Sadly, neither of those fit what I’m hearing well enough.

Probably not famous enough / definitely more of a cult classic. The Tall Man and Phantasm are in five movies, and it is definitely one of those franchises that is recognizable to horror fans (and beloved by some), but I think objectively it's correct that Phantasm is more of a horror wishlist house than a likely one. Still, there is always a (slim) chance...

If we got Phantasm or another property like that (Hellraiser is more famous but a similarly kind of oddball horror geek obsession), it would be amazing. With that said, if we got Friday the 13th plus some cool originals, I'd be really hyped. I totally agree with what you said earlier in the thread about wanting a big slasher. (That was one good thing about Hollywood's event this past year, they had TCM.)

Agreed, Nintendo is very protective of their IP, and unless they come out saying they totally want to dive into haunts and the like, it's really a non-starter on the topic.

Just because they have a relationship with Universal and that HHN has featured IPs based off video games...doesn't mean there's suddenly a shot for Nintendo to be at HHN.

I would argue that Killer Klowns wasn't very recognizable to the general public prior to its use at HHN. Now look at it.
