Duality of Fear was a roaming horde disguised as a scare zone.

I understand the HHN fandom can get overly-cynical at times, but there is no excuse for the quality of that zone last year.

Wasn’t a new house location somewhere back in the Cafe LB area rumored to have been considered a couple of years ago? Would that potentially still be on the table if an additional spot is utilized?

Me closely following HHN house construction & speculation while we’re getting hammered at home in New York with our first big snowstorm of the season:

Yup..... this is off to a weird start!
I mean it does makes sense based on what legacy said with park attendance being at an all time high with Epic Opening, i just cant wrap my head around staffing all this and how they even handle the increase in attendance. You thought it was busy before, i guess were in for a real treat this year!

On a side note I'm not looking forward to the price increases if this is true, but have time to prepare.

I'm really curious how they will fit 12 houses in on a RIP tour, we've barely finished 10 in the allotted time, maybe start 30 min earlier or no bar stops . Either way there will be less breaks and more go go go to get all house done in one night.

The RIP tour point is interesting. I'm curious with extra houses if they'd extend hours to 2 AM.

Or like you said - start RIP tours at 5 and open 2 houses early.

I was gonna' say, 11 houses wouldn't be weird considering a good chunk of folks have been hoping for that for a while. But jumping past that to possibly more? Now we're talkin' weird!

Either way, should be interesting to see what other venue permits will pop up.

I'm of the opinion they could do a scaled down New York zone too instead of keeping it the size it is.

What’s probably confusing you is having SS24B but not A. But there is a chance that we do use A

No, I saw that. I'm only confused because everyone seems so sure about 12 but we haven't even gotten 11 yet so I figured I must be missing something (so it's more of a don't want to get my hopes up and I need to see an 11th permit to get excited about a possible 12 houses because I'd imagine using SS24B doesn't guaranteeeeee they use A, right?)

Universal has never filed a permit for an “A” or “B” location in a soundstage that holds a single house. Historically, if a soundstage holds a single house, then the permit is strictly for the soundstage.

A big reason for that is because the existence of a “B” implies the existence of an “A.” As such, every entity that looks at and uses these permits (inspectors, contractors, county officials, Universal employees, etc.) - if they see “24B” will automatically assume “24A” exists as well. An administrative error that just happens to say “24B” when a “24A” is not planned is going to cause a lot of confusion. Universal would have likely addressed that before submitting for the permits at all (at least, they should have—but they’re remarkably amateurish sometimes).

i do also think that we havent ever seen SS23-24 only have one house in the past 10 years. but i totally agree

Popping in the HNN Spec List icons as well (although they will likely shift).

There are a few that make me think placement is definitely wrong. IE: SS24B's codename of Lilly, but the icon having a Lily at SS23A on the HNN map. Also, I think the icon for SS23B likely belongs in SS25.
