Granted it's been a while but 2016 had TCM and Halloween 2 in the same year, and both were still great houses that felt distinct enough from each other.

Plus 2022 had Halloween and HoB (which I'd argue was a slasher house with both Freaky and the way Black Phone was adapted).

Yeah feels like with them bringing back all the fan favorites for the next Scream, they’re desperate enough for good press that they would push for a house at HHN. A good house would show the public that Scream is still a profitable franchise

Yeah I’m sure a big part of this on Paramount and Spyglass’ end is that it’ll help potentially restore some lost good will back into the franchise at least from a press perspective.

2016 was my first year - and I didn't even think of that. Definitely seems to be a rare case though!

I'd see the house being more VI as well, it lends itself a lot better to a house than 5.

Interesting take - because I assumed there'd be more 5 since it's more akin to the original as far as locations.

I think if they’re able to land a white whale, I think they will make an exception to the rule (If there even is one!) about having more than one slasher in the IP lineup. Terrifier and Scream in the same year would be a marketing juggernaut!

IF all the rumors hold up and we are potentially expecting Terrifier, Fallout, and now Scream…the crowds will be absolutely insane this year. I would hope for some killer (pun intended) merchandise from these, which you already know will sell like hotcakes.
