I think if they’re able to land a white whale, I think they will make an exception to the rule (If there even is one!) about having more than one slasher in the IP lineup. Terrifier and Scream in the same year would be a marketing juggernaut!

They are pretty different - Scream would probably be a Halloween-style house with tension and so on, Terrifier more of a gore and possibly even comedy-leaning house. I agree that two big slashers might be a stretch under normal circumstances, but (as a slasher fan), fingers crossed....

Yeah I’m sure a big part of this on Paramount and Spyglass’ end is that it’ll help potentially restore some lost good will back into the franchise at least from a press perspective.

Agree with this, though if they are trying to restore good will back into the franchise and get people hyped for Scream 7, it would be odd to focus the HHN house on Scream 5 and 6, which are the chapters they are trying to move on from with 7. For that reason, I would have thought it would make more sense to do OG Scream, which could hype the return of Sidney as the heroine, but then again, Spyglass did not produce Scream 1996...

I'd stand to think if Scream is happening--that they found some way to have the entire series featured (but focusing primarily on the recent installments) ala that of Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count.

I also think it shouldn't be that expensive to get Roger Jackson to do custom voiceover for the house, especially with him primarily being a voice actor first and foremost.

Fallout, Scream and Terrifier would definitely be a major lineup.

Of course, we haven't heard anything regarding Fallout in awhile - which worries me lol

Granted it's been a while but 2016 had TCM and Halloween 2 in the same year, and both were still great houses that felt distinct enough from each other.

Plus 2022 had Halloween and HoB (which I'd argue was a slasher house with both Freaky and the way Black Phone was adapted).

I forget the year but once we had Evil Dead and Cabin in the Woods (a deliberate Evil Dead pastiche/deconstruction) within yards of each other. These things happen.

Cabin in the Woods was great. Loved that house! Still one of the better IP houses they’ve done IMO

While nothing is confirmed and anything and everything can change, be right, be wrong and so forth...it definitely feels like Aiello's return to show director is gonna' be a notable one!

When you look at the rumored IP's, on paper that truly is a solid lineup. Potentially one of the biggest lineups we've had in a while, which could help offset the loss of HRRR this year as you've got multiple IP's which can hold the lines.

Just gotta' wait and see what's actually confirmed by Universal themselves.

Yeah, better safe than sorry on saving up for Express. At least one of them getting confirmed would be big, but if they confirm multiple or somehow all of them? *whistles*
Now as for FNaF, as much as I would love to have that IP at the event, that is truly a "I'll believe it when I see it..." kind of house. Then again, that was my stance for Scream!

If the Scream rumors are true, I genuinely can’t be picky on what they adapt. I’d love a Scream 1 book report in the vein of that first Halloween house in 2014, and I wouldve even taken the 1-4 planned for HHN 25. But as long as I have Ghostface popping out at me, adapt whatever you want. Go IP original. Anything. (Just not season 1 & 2 of the the MTV show, I don’t need the Brandon James mask, please lol)

5 and 6 does seem like an interesting choice though because of the shift from Woodsboro to NYC, but I guess that would've also been the case for the planned 2015 since it seemed to include 1-4 so thats Woodsboro>Windsor College>LA>Woodsboro, alot going on lol.

Haven’t been in the forums in a very long time (years) but it’s nice to still recognize some of the names in here that I do remember. Just seeing what you guys think about the 11 hour rumor that seems to be dead at this point and if you really think there is a chance they left insidious up and that’s why no permit has been filed in that location. I feel like that’s not something they would do but I honestly wouldn’t be too upset if we get 10 new houses and insidious returns as the 11th to help control the crowds with rocket being gone
