I think it'll be a mix, but there are big hits i'd want to see if this IS the route they're going.
I want the opening of 5; As far as cold opens go, that slaps - this could be the intro to the house, already in the kitchen of the house.

Transition to Hospital - Marissa saving Jenna, Dewey dying.

(not sure if we'll get anything out of the finale, as i don't think we'll see Mikey or Jack looking actors doing anything, as i think they'd opt to get MORE Ghostface costumes and less look-alikes)
So i would take the opportunity to then jump from hospital to alleyway for the first kill in 6.
I could then see it going two ways:
A. a series of apartment kills: like the immediate next kills after the alley, or skipping to when they're running around between rooms before the ladder escape sequence or even Gale's place.

OR B. just jumping straight into the grocery scene

I'd then hope for one quick subway transition before the finale, where we HOPEFULLY, get that awesome collector's room with all the costumes and evidence from prior films. I could see the hallways of costumes right now, where you don't know which are mannequins and which are scare actors working REALLY well for a finale for this house to hit you from multiple angles right before you leav

Well done. Now you’ve got me wanting to re-watch them again.

All they need is that bodega scene. First time the series felt like it had some inspiration in a while.

2013 was a banger year! Hitting CITWs and right into Evil Dead was such an epic start to the events every night!

Not gonna lie, if they do Scream V and VI it will just seem like an original interpretation to me. (Gave Scream IV a chance...and couldn't get through it, haven't even tried to watch V or VI). If you get Ghostface and THE VOICE, you can do whatever you want with it and it will resonate with general public (which I lump myself into in this case).

Mike is back as one of the leads this year, yes.

And while I'm sure this doesn't mean anything:

I always read that kind of thing as, "This is a person who is passionate about horror. They like to share said thing that they enjoy with others, which makes perfect sense."

There is no deeper meaning to it.

If I remember correctly. I was buying HHN preview merch this time last year. So I really feel like we have to be getting an Announcement or something this week. Right?

Do you guys think if Epic Universe closes later than the other 2 parks, like 10pm/11pm... you'd think HHN wouldn't be as busy as crowds will be spread out? Or do you think crowds will be even busier than usual because everyone is checking out Epic and they'll tack on HHN to their trip.

The amusing way to put this is...HHN is still going to be HHN. People will go to HHN because it's HHN, people are not going to somehow spread between HHN and EU because that park is open late....because EU is not HHN.

The short answer...No, I don't think EU is going to affect the crowds at HHN. HHN is still going to be busy as usual, especially if it has some big IP's to draw the crowds in.

If there were any difference in crowds, it would probably be the daytime crowds. I could see where there might be more people at Epic than studios during the day, even with the Scream Early ticket.

People coming for HHN aren't going to leave early to go to Epic the same night.

It's a really interesting question, and I'm not sure how it would play out. I always go during the RoF portion of the event and there are 4 groups of people who attend at that time:

  1. Locals with multinight tickets who go every to HHN every single night...or close to it. Being locals who can go to Epic any time they want, and have most likely already been, it wouldn't affect this group at all.
  2. Out of towners who fly in for a week or two, and want the most "bang for their buck" for the multinight tickets that they're only using for a fraction of the time the tickets are good for. I'm in this group. We go every HHN night of our visit and do stay and scream. The new park COULD affect this group, maybe a lot. I'd never skip a night of HHN to go to Epic, but if Epic had an awesome fireworks/fountain show at 9pm, I'd certainly stay for that and probably not get to HHN until after 10pm. So that would be removing me and my group from S&S and the first half of HHN for that night. If Epic were to have a great deal on Tickets at Work where it's the buy 3 days get 2 free or something similar (Which I VERY much doubt), we might never do Stay and Scream and would certainly stay at Epic each day beyond the 4pm we'd realistically have to think about leaving to drive to Studios, park, and get into a holding pen prior to shutting down for HHN. Would want to spend some time in each land/portal after dark to see what they're like. We wouldn't reduce the attendees at the event for the night, but our time in the park would be cut in half and if enough people did it, it could be noticeable.
  3. Locals who randomly decide to go to HHN for a night or two here or there. Epic wouldn't affect them at all as they can go to Epic any time they want.
  4. Out of town Disney visitors who want something more adult to do and give HHN a shot. If Universal is promoting all the coasters at Epic, the Monsters land, and the fact that they have 11 rides open versus the 3 or 4 at HHN, I could see some of this group choosing Epic over HHN for their one "non-Disney" day/night.
It will be interesting to see what, if any affect, the new park has in those terms. But in terms of the "we only go to Orlando every 5-10 years" people, who might also be interested in attending HHN for a night, Epic opening might incentivize all those people to pick 2025 for their Orlando vacation and cause a bit of an uptick in attendees.

Whatever the case, I don't think it will be the slightest bit perceptible. I think any changes in the crowds would be attributed to the strength/weakness of the IP lineup as is always the case.

Just realized, with single-night tickets likely going on sale here very soon, that should be when we get confirmation on the house count.

11-house believers, rise!
