You are definitely NOT the only one. I was literally just thinking as I read the speculated list that there isn't really anything there that gets me excited. In fact, it's difficult for me not to just eye roll my way out. I will admit I am not a "gamer" in the sense that a lot of you clearly are. I have never played Fallout nor have I watched any of the show. If it comes to HHN, I guess I will have to check out the show. It's just.. well, how many apocalypse type shows can one watch? I guess if that's your thing.. good on you. I do watch Last of Us and enjoy it very much.. but do I want another end of the world type show taking up my time? Probably not.

As for FNAF and WWE? I guess my 9 year old grandson would enjoy it. Will I? Doubt it. I am NOT disparaging any of you who enjoy this stuff. I'm happy for you all if you get what you want. I've always said that there is usually a really nice mix of houses to choose from, but this lineup seems way more directed at a very specific stereotypical crowd which I, unfortunately, am not a part of. I cannot tell you how grateful I am that Orlando does such stellar orignal houses as these are where I live at HHN anymore.

I guess I'm just kind of disappointed (I know - nothing is official yet) because there is still quite a rich canon of horror films that could be adapted that have never been, and we're sitting here discussing how WWE will be made into a house. I mean....

I just need to stop talking as I really do not intend to offend anyone. This year is my 20 year anniversary of attending HHN and I was hoping for something awesome like The Conjuring or The Thing or some other classic horror that I grew up with.

You are my HHN Spirit Animal! I agree 100% with all you said. Im sure if FNAF and Fallout come to fruition they will be cool... BUT... this years scare zones need to REALLY and mean REALLY step it up from the last couple years.

I will say Im no gamer... last video game I played was Golden Eye on N64 (im 48 y/o) .... so as far as Fallout goes I did enjoy the show, but have my doubts about making a horror house.

Honestly the rumors this year are giving me severe whiplash lmao. I don't know what to believe anymore, the only IP I'm 100% confident in is Terrifier. Everything else I'm pretty iffy on.

Oh I know - I was just expanding on that thought. The idea of a house/zone connection is bounced around often, but Fallout would actually make a ton of sense for it.

Maybe for the sanity of some of us - consider baths. That idea gave me PTSD from the "let's make all the scarezones the Walking Dead! How cool will that be?" God help us..

Honestly - this works better for me anyway. Of all the Slaughter Sinema concepts to return, I would have been very confused by Hatchet and Chains being the one they chose.

I loved Hatchet and Chains. I'm biased because I have a D&D character with a very similar backstory(think Brom's Devil's Rose: Demon gunslinger from hell who hunts down escapees a la Ghostrider) - so it was like seeing something I made up come to life right in front of me for a moment, playing out exactly like a combat scenario from our campaign; It was wild. Sad to hear it might not be coming back!

The real question is: If that isn't it, which Slaughter Sinema short IS coming back, if any?

The idea that F&F has the outdoor space again because it’s for an IP that has a lot of outdoor material really intrigues me because the first thing that comes to mind for me is indeed Friday the 13th, and the first eight Friday films are owned by Paramount who Uni have been close friends with theme park wise the past year or so.

Just makes me wonder…

I don't expect any of them, honestly. Here are my thoughts on Sinema and Yeti from a few weeks back.

I’m speculating on my theory (which is why I’m not being explicit on it), but I want to point out that the first Sinema did not actually get a “house based on a scene.” They took a scene and character (Swamp Yeti) but actually developed a completely different house that could have occurred without the existence of Sinema at all (yetis in the mountains… which is a standalone myth, unrelated to Sinema).

Now, it’s possible Universal took an idea “that wasn’t fleshed out enough for a standalone house” (where Sinema scenes come from) and, during the course of developing Sinema, fleshed it out to a adequate house idea.

But it’s more likely—based on what we saw with Yeti—a new house is it’s own thing that bears minimal direct connection.
