When I click this link and look at dates to buy tickets, it's showing HHN as being on on Mondays but Wednesday's? A change, or error by OI??

The official HHN website still has it on Wednesdays and not Mondays (except for PSN on Oct. 19th). The 12th isn't even listed yet.

Columbus Day. Also, haven't checked, but chance local schools are out Tuesday?

I wonder if it's related to the line-up versus the real culprit of inflation (gas prices skyrocketing due to the global conflicts going on) which puts a pressure on food/cost of living and tourism. Flights are hella expensive right now (domestically, and I'll assume international ones as well).

So if that's the case and Universal wants to minimize the sales slumps, I can see why they wouldn't change much ticket-wise this year from last year...

Totally agree you can't minimize the effect of the former.
...

Unrelated, latest rumor is Universal might split the baby: multi-night tickets with Express ... after 11 only. I truly hope these come with a bit of a price cut. I have to admit, tho, clever way to keep the crowds down during Scream Early.

I'll concede ground here and think this is a fair compromise for the Orlando locals and the out-of-state/international visitors who visit the event multiple nights and the single night attendees.

@TheCodeMan95 now this is the tone shift you were looking for ;)

I don't know, would need a deep discount. I still like 5-pack, 10-pack & 15-pack options.

I think it's an interesting idea - but I also can't imagine them wanting to pass up selling the after 11PM tickets like they already do. And I'd imagine this would affect that lol

Tourism in general is down. I know Cruise lines are hurting pretty badly, too. I don't think it's theme park/HHN line-up related....

That has to be the dumbest idea I've ever heard (no offense to you, you're just the messenger). So you're telling me on a $200 Rush of Fear Ticket, that I'm spending an additional $500 on for the premium experience of having express means I'm limited to 3 hours of premium experience per night? I'm expected to do 10 houses, 2 shows, experience 4 zones, the Deatheaters and Mel's experiences...in 3 hours? That's the premium experience I'm pay 250% over normal ticket prices?

This is so stupid, if you want to get rid of the loitering/congestion in the park this is the opposite of that. You want me to go to go to the parks during the day, do Stay and Scream, maybe do a couple houses at 5:30-6pm, and then just hang out for FIVE+ HOURS until my express works? Just loitering and clogging the streets? Maybe say, what the hell, and do Nightmare Fuel 3 or 4 times making those lines impossible for the non-express people since I have nothing better to do. I'm paying $500 extra to not have to wait in house lines.

This doesn't make sense on any level. Maybe for locals, but as someone who flies in from out of state for one week, this would be the end of me spending a single cent on Universal in the future.

I think this is the problem, outside of Rush of Fear there has never really been a good option for out of towners going multiple nights. These passes have honestly always been focused on locals. I say this every year but they should really do a multi night packages tied to hotel stays and a lot of issues would be solved if they want more tourists and less locals in each night.

I'd imagine it's just the express aspect that would kick in after 11...I didn't even think of what you are describing, however, if it would be that.....yikes

Then the 1/2 off express after 10pm for single night express by extension is a bad idea too? Trying to see the train of thought here.

In the same way that frequent out-of-towners do the calculation for getting an annual pass (number of days/trips planned in a year - is it higher or lower than the coast of individual day passes or length of stay?) the same math applies for folks who come into Orlando for HHN. We get two HHN trips on a single UOR AP by activating later in September then planning next years’ trip earlier the next September for example.

For us in years past, the cost of ROF+ express for our week trip is absolutely worth it compared to single nights and express some nights.

No not at all, I think it's a great idea, though I haven't utilized it! I would obviously rather the FFP+ with express to remain as is, however I actually wouldn't mind the express only being active after 11pm - a compromise I could live with. What I was saying I wouldn't like is entry to the event, (and express), being 11pm onwards, i.e tickets only grants you access to the park from 11pm

I think the rumor was that instead of having express access from opening to close for multi-night ticket holders, it would now only allow after 10pm. 100% in line when Universal offers express passes at 1/2 off normal prices after 10pm (on select evenings, when express inventory isn't sold out).

I get what you're saying, but you don't need express for anything there other than houses

Yeah - if you're going for enough nights, the multi night ticket will usually end up being the better deal.

We typically don't visit more than once a year, but we're UOAPs because it's just cheaper to do it that way.

If you're doing more than 3 or 4 nights of HHN, the FFP + express will always save you money lol (I paid $640 for literally 2 nights with Express)
