There's only 2 zones left right? Are we thinking that they might skip a day like they did with the originals

This is what I'm thinking, unless we get our show announced with the street experiences as well?

I think the lagoon show announcement will heavily depend on which IPs are featured in the show

Mel's and Club Horror Day?

If they do make any significant changes to multi-passes, it will really clog up the line for tickets, as people will take longer to figure out what they want to buy.

Regarding the express option on Frequent Fear I believe Universal is constantly balancing the desire to squeeze as much out of the event today versus a sustainable business model in the future.

The lines in recent years clearly became untenable for them and I can’t imagine a better way to ensure new fans don’t come back then what happened during portions of the 2024 event.

Do you squeeze an extra few million dollars out of a dying fanbase at the expense of tomorrow? (I’m part of that aging group so no offence here folks).

One thing I know for sure is they have data on customers who went with FF passes and then those *same* customers who didn’t get passes the past couple of years. I wouldn’t be surprised if most people took the “L”, put down an extra $1000-$2000 on express, and begrudgingly missed a few nights without. I’m just very skeptical it moved the needle in any meaningful way on profitability or attendance.

I would love to see them drop enough passes to keep everyone in here happy, but I don’t think we’re going back to those days anytime in the foreseeable future.

I'm a Spoiled Express Brat like most likely everyone here - but I'm not a local. I get 2 HHN nights per year.

And one thing I can say for CERTAIN, is that the express lines last year moved significantly quicker than in the previous few years.

We splurged for ROF+Express in 2023 to get more than 2 nights - and we had multiple instances of having surprisingly long waits for houses - nearly an hour for TLOU and Oddfellow specifically (I know, poor us)

Last year, I don’t think we waited more than 10-15 mins in any Express line.

Honestly, a ~10 night pass with express option would be stellar for a lot of people.

That would be perfect for me too.

Is there any chance Evil Dead Burn got pulled last minute? Seems like the announcement should have been last week and now with Scare Zone week this week.

Really, really doubt that they'd pull Evil Dead Burn last minute just because of an underperformance, they would have to rebuild the house with <2 months to go to the event. Any benefit from switching to a more high profile IP would be mitigated by the cost of redoing the entire maze. Last time Evil Dead got pulled, it was because of a release date switchup; their hand was forced by the IP owner.

First, who is to say that EDB was coming in the first place. Everything is speculation until announced. Second, things can always change... Evil Dead has not had a great track record with HHN... (Look what happened in Hollywood and their last min change after they had already built the house and the animatronics...) I'm not going to hold my breath either way.

There is always a possibility but not because of no announcement. Scarezone week happened last year for the first time and we still had IP left to announce after.

This has happened multiple times before, and it is not always Uni's decision.

I know it's happened before, but it's usually been down to release date changeups or they were unhappy with the way the IP was presented. Universal would not want to change the IP at such a late stage, and I don't see a compelling reason for why the IP holder would want to change it either.

EDIT: I also feel like it's worth reiterating that if Evil Dead Burn gets pulled *now*, then it's going to be a lot worse than if it was never pulled at all. You're not going to get a fleshed out Resident Evil house instead - you're going to get something slapped together and cheap.

It’s never Universal’s decision.

And it’s never been because of the reception to a film. The closest thing was the delayed release of Evil Dead Rise, and that was a delay. IPs get pulled for legal reasons or some violation of the agreement.

I want to emphasize the former.

TBH it’s about time and should have be done last year. I prefer this over having a limited number sold causing fans to go crazy. Or leaving groups with some who got and the rest didn’t.

Assuming the rumour is correct I’m curious to see what impact it will have on express wait times, if any.

Or, alternatively does this simply bring the express into the premium priced benefit it is without impacting wait times.

I just wanna know if Express or no Express because I wanna buy single night Express for as cheaply as possible for the nights I'm going and kinda pissed I am waiting and the prices are slowly crawling up. Just rip the bandaid off and tell me so I can make plans of what I can and can't do since I am out of town I might shorten my trip for lesser nights with Express or something. Currently booked hotel stay as if FFP with Express is on but if not I might need to change all that.
