Especially when MOST sequels at this summer's box office have been bombs (Mortal Kombat II, Star Wars Mandalorian, Minions, Jackass, Super Girl, Moana, etc). The lack of boxoffice doesn't seem to be related the movie itself, but rather a big trend this summer.

I agree with you mostly, but do have to point out a couple things:
  • Box office this year is higher than last year.
  • I don't think we can pinpoint why X movie is doing good but Y movie isn't. We can't blame IP or sequels, considering Toy Story 5, Devil Wears Prada 2, and Mario 2 did gangbusters, with Spider-Man 4 projected at 250 million domestic opening weekend.
  • If I were to *guess,* Evil Dead just got overshadowed by Backrooms and Obsession. Many who wanted to watch a horror movie this summer already saw one or both of those, then decided to skip Evil Dead.

That all being said, I agree that this will not impact anything planned for HHN 2026.

Those new tents are huge and almost a soundstage anyways. I’m just wondering now if Sinners with be in a new tent still or a SS so two IPs aren’t both in new tents. Cybergoria was also rumored in a new tent.

Came here to circle back on this too.

I still think we're getting a twofer this week. My guess is tomorrow we will get Evil Dead tomorrow since the movie is still out/fresh and then for the following day 7/22 Ozzy announcement on the remembrance day of his passing. Just a guess.

FFP or is this too ominous for that kind of announcement?

I think it's Ozzy day and they'll just never announce Evil Dead. It'll just be there and they'll tell everyone they announced it in June and no one remembers it. They'll get mad and change the subject whenever you bring it up.

Since this little date teaser thing came out late afternoon with Hollywood too, safe to assume whatever is coming tomorrow will also be later afternoon?

(only wondering because I have to lead a meeting at work during the usual Orlando-only announcement time and if this happens to come with FFP, I'd like to go ahead and buy as soon as they're out. So I'm hoping for later afternoon lol) (yes, i realize plain ole FFP doesn't usually sell out, but who knows what to expect with the removal of FFP w/express)

In regards to the Hellraiser tent discussion - I don't know that Hellraiser will require many massive sets. However - I remember the discussion last year that the new tents are massive and could fit basically anything that a soundstage could, but I think Fallout very clearly was affected by the lack of open space.

I wouldn’t say since it was announced late today it means it will be the same tomorrow. But since it will be a shared IP it won’t be announced at 10:35. It will be anywhere between 12-3 probably.

I heard rumblings a while ago of a 21/22nd fear pass date before express was announced to not be tied to it anymore, so I’d check tomorrow just in-case. Since there is “likely” no rush to get them since there’s no express, it’s possible it’s just a simple “multi night tickets are now available” thing at the end of the announcement or even just as a simple post tomorrow.

I have a feeling it will be EDB with FFP. I don’t think we will get anything else. And if we do it will be both at the same time.

While I'd love to see Ozzy officially announced tomorrow, I REALLY hope they wait until Wednesday. That's the day the world will be thinking about him. What a topper that would be - to have him formally announced on Ozzy Day!

I’m not planning on delaying whenever we get the multi-night ticket announcement. If they ever want to turn HHN into an all single night ticket event like MNSSHP, they will probably start limiting FFP at some point.

I’m not saying it won’t happen, but part of me just doesn’t see that happening. I don’t have any information on it will/wont ever happen, but those are two very different events with two different crowds.

Part of the appeal of MNSSHP is that the lines are lower, you get to trick or treat around the park, wear costumes, etc. That event feels much more like an actual “party” style after hours event as compared to HHN which most would agree it’s hard to get things done in one day. If the lines are not affected that much and they release more single night tickets to make up for a loss in multi night, there’s no reason to lose multi nights. The reason for that is that I as a multi night ticket holder may spend $50-100 every time I come in just on food and drinks. We come for over two weeks, and if it was single night only, we’d really have to change plans (now that I would be upset about compared to express). If I have to buy single night tickets for every night, I’m certainly not spending extra on a lot of food or merch or coming back another night just so I can spend more on that sort of thing. Heck as much as I love the event I’d really have to determine if it would even be worth coming to at that point in Orlando and maybe just go out to Hollywood. The event just isn’t designed to only cater to single nights, but it’s also designed specifically with single night tickets in mind as well so that they can also make the most out of their night. Getting rid of express for multinight results in potentially more money for universal, perhaps some frustration from fans, perhaps a better express experience, maybe a slight reduction in the amount of “standing still” in lines for stand by, but that’s it. By limiting multi night, you’ve potentially lost thousands in food and drinks from people with multi night tickets who don’t even come to do houses every night. Plus, single night tickets I’m pretty sure do sell out depending on the night but it’s not the norm.

That said, I’m not going to hesitate either lol. It would certainly be a silly decision, and I don’t expect it to happen, but I’m not a risk taker.

I’m not expecting it to happen either. Not trying to cause any fear or anything. But I also wouldn’t be totally shocked either if they try to limit FFP in the not too distant future with the intention of doing away with it. I’m mostly just saying I don’t think people should put off purchasing if they know they are going. You never know when policies will change

They started limiting sales last year or the year before. I doubt they go so low as 500 max or anything like that, but it's reasonable to suspect the number of multi-night tickets will be limited again, and probably more than before.

The limitation was mostly due to the Express tickets. The normal tickets last year weren't capped.

And, as far as I understand, there won't be a limit* on normal FFP this year.

*In the sense of how last year was handled

Has anyone heard anything about price increases beyond the "normal" yearly markup? The RoF was roughly 200 bucks last year. I assume the price will go up every year, but will the passes be a bit more, or a whole lot more? I can see a re-balancing at some point.
