How I wait for my HHN announcements is up to me and should not be made fun of.

Really disappointed that both Mel’s Zombies and Club Horror are returning as repeats with no changes.

Are we sure about that?

I get being excited about expected announcements. Most of us were sitting around our phones/computers waiting for news, whether at work or school or home.

What is unique about doing so at Mel’s? That’s the question. What store is there where there might be a related queue? A queue into a press conference or mini event where the announcement is made? Why is it worth mentioning randos sitting at Mel’s instead of other randos sitting at a coffee shop in Poughkeepsie or other randos riding bespoke tricycles on the moon, all of whom are awaiting HHN announcements?

I'm not dogging on anyone for waiting. The usual spot for announcement days is Five & Dime, where they typically set up a queue. There wasn't one on Friday, and with the heat, people moved over to Mel's.

The point was that people had convinced themselves an announcement was coming despite there not being any actual information pointing to one.

For as long as I have been going, Knott’s Scary Farm has had a clown scare zone in the exact same spot

Every few years they change the zone’s color scheme, outfits, character designs, or decorations and usually the most they will say is that the colors have been changed

Mel’s can stay forever, it’s a bonus zone, adds to an icon of HHN and is just fun. I feel the same about chainsaws in Springfield.

And ignoring that Fortnite DOES still have a large chunk of adult players too.

It's like when people said that FNAF would attract so many kids - ignoring that, in 2025, most kids that had grown up playing FNAF would have been in their mid 20s.

Wishful thinking. Someone relates it to some kind of clue. Snowball effect.

Same way people convinced themselves Evil Dead Burn wasn’t coming. People convinced themselves Vanity Ball (or Lady Gaga) was coming.

We’ve seen it in the forums this offseason. People convincing themselves what they want to happen will happen. They find “clues” to even more convince themselves something is happening or coming.
