I bought my 3 x single nights and 3 x express passes for me and my partner a couple of weeks back just because of all the uncertainty.

I phoned Universal and got my singles changed to ROF, and despite not expecting it, they've refunded me the difference back too - roughly $110. Can't complain at the service.

Good. You shouldn't be penalized for not buying a product that wasn't released at the time.

As one of the adults who plays Fortnite, I'm excited lol I think this is a creative challenge for the team at HHN and I'm super curious to see how they tackle it! I also really do hope for a Fortnite food booth lmao I buy those blinky coasters you stick to the bottom of cups in place of the blinky cups and you better believe I'd love to walk around with a blinky chug jug

Crazy to see how whiny the attention seekers are this year. I swear they get louder every year. Nearly every year, there are IPs at the event I don't like. I don't like Hellraiser or Ozzy but you better believe I'm going through the houses with an open mind because I KNOW they can (and likely will) surprise me. Heck, I originally thought the WWE announcement was lame last year and I don't like WWE whatsoever (but I did my homework and watched a documentary about the Wyatt Sicks and understood the decision more before the event at least) and that was an incredible house and tied for my favorite last year.

100% this. I actively DISLIKE WWE and appreciated and enjoyed the house. I love seeing the passion and ideas come to life.

My brother who is 26 and I am 30 bond over playing video games together. It’s what he and I do at night time and have been doing it for years. What makes Fortnite so fun is that it’s truly for anyone, and yes it’s goofy, but that’s what makes it fun. There’s no stress and it’s designed so everyone can have a good time. Will the zone be goofy too? I sure hope so, that’s what would make it fun (plus, if done well, the stylized costumes and props could look really cool in real life). And based on the other zones and houses, this year really needs something kinda goofy somewhere. Everything else is so serious, none of the originals seem to be comedy, IPs are serious, etc. I would take Fortnitmares over Crypt TV or Blumhouse any day.


WWE was the same for me. I don’t like that property at all, and a wrestling house seemed so weird to me. Turned out to be easily one of the best and most fun houses to go through. Heck I’ll go further and say I can’t stand the Terrifier films, but that house was a blast and I absolutely loved Art being at the event.

Personally not excited about Fortnitemares based on a lack of interest in the IP, but I think this is a really good take - it is always fun to have some goofiness and it could be fun (and if not, oh well, it's just one zone).

I was thinking something similar, especially since it appears “Cybergoria” kind of has a similar vibe with human augmentation to promote immortality. I could see where both of those concepts could have some crossover.

There was a picture, not sure what the event was, that showed an in-house ad for the “company” who is doing the robotics, and the vibe was extremely creepy and much more along the lines of like a really bad human science experiment gone wrong, sold as a “product”, as compared to the more Skynet/Termintor vibes I was expecting, which is a very pleasant surprise. I have a feeling it will be much more body horror, and much less Terminator.

All I can say is: I absolutely hate Terrifier, and I loved the house.

Sometimes things we don't like still translate better to in-person experiences.

Is the 5 house RIP tour a new offering for this year?

It has been a thing for some time, but this is the first year it is something you can book online ahead of time. Previously, you could only book this by calling the VIP experiences line, or asking about it at a ticket booth or guest services. I also think it might've been bookable in park at one of the express stands around the park.

I forgot about that zone, I think that’s my least favorite zone there’s been and yet somehow it left my brain lol. I personally don’t like it, and I thought that was maybe just a uniquely me thing haha. Part of the reason I’ve never liked Nightmare Fuel. But some people absolutely want it, so i can’t complain at all, it’s nice to have the variety at the event between different areas and spread out the crowds.

That said, I actually think club horror is really weird but kinda fun. It did NOT feel anything like the Rob Zombie zone which just kinda felt dark and made me feel bad and uncomfortable, whereas club horror really did have a fun theme about it. The only thing I wish, is I do wish there were more decorations in the area, and maybe some fun non-dancing characters. The DJ, dancers, music, and little mini bar is all a pretty cool idea honestly. Especially considering we get the Mel’s zombies which I think are really fun for that area, I think it’s worth not having 5 zones since Amity was always so tiny anyway (even though invasion there was an awesome zone). As long as they do the opening zone correctly it’s good, not like 2024 where there basically was no opening zone lol.
