As the parent of these maps, it has been my pleasure to release them to the world to see!
I have been working on the maps for a good bit, getting approval and talking to various larger faces in the HHN Community (including Mark from Horror Nights Nightmares) to make sure things were compliant and good. It has been my pleasure, and I hope people have fun with discussing and conversing on the contents for both coasts with these maps.
Thanks a bunch for this, by the way!
The Butter Battle Book is about two factions at war. One supporting butter on the top side of their toast. The other supporting butter on the bottom. Which could also be seen as the toast being upside down?
That is one way to think about it, but the kicker is I don't think that's for an IP. Five of the houses have a symbol in the corner, which checks out for Orlando usually having an even split between IP's, and originals. And over in HW, they have 6 houses with the symbol which checks out for them having more IP houses than originals.
The Butter Battle doesn't have that symbol, so it's likely not an IP. Even more interestingly, the color of the title is different for each coast. So a shared original but with notable differences to it? The book goes into the arms race, nuclear war and Mutually Assured Destruction. Feels pretty fitting for a house dealing with some warring factions/characters.
As for what could some of the other houses be, "Red Fish Blue Fish" feels pretty apt for a 3-D house, since why would they omit "One Fish, Two Fish" in the title? It's certainly not due to length as "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street!" is right on the map.
Speaking of "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street!", well "IT" is literally in the title.
Now as for houses which might be connected by what's in the book and not the name of it, the one that really calls out to me is The Cat in the Hat. Because here you have the Cat promising such fun and tricks, and everything goes to Hell when a couple things are let out of their box...sounds like Hellraiser to me!
That's what comes to mind for me so far.
