While I would love to see an actual creepypasta-inspired house at HHN, I don't think it ever happens.

And like Legacy said - the idea of taking a property based around isolation and turning it into a house filled with people and scare actors completely defeats the purpose.

On a lighter note.. less than 3 months! Things should start kicking into high gear soon.

If there's one thing A24 will  not object to, it's selling dumb merch based on their movies. Anyway, after that opening, I'm sure they're kicking the tires, but it'll come down to the rightsholders and what they say.

Re: doing a creepypasta/analog horror inspired house, I like the idea but I don't know if the vibe will translate since so much of the appeal comes from the internet urban legend feel and often a deep well of lore, otherwise it's just "murderer with a messed up face" or "this creature lives in the woods." Maybe an SCP inspired house would work.

-food/drinks
-merch
-Dead Coconut (does that usually get an announcement? I feel like it technically doesn't lol but it deserves one)

I'm assuming we're getting all the originals at once again so they can space things out lol (as much as I want a nearly weekly fix from here on out)

This year has been FLYING but yet last year's HHN feels like a lifetime ago. feels like we should know more about this year's lineup officially, but also feels like it should still be March rn lol

Well, at least one is going to be in late July for when they drop multiday passes. My speculation is a big IP. In 2025 it was July 10, so guess they'll do one July 9 or 16 this year.

Universal never did its own documentary. Art of the Scare was a Lightship Entertainment production that was funded by the Travel Channel. Lightship Entertainment did numerous Orlando resort documentaries (a lot of Disney stuff), and HHN just happened to be one of their subjects. Universal sold copies of the documentary because they could.

Another documentary hasn’t been done because nobody has decided to do one. The theme park isn’t going to produce its own without a planned distribution method, and the obvious distribution method (Peacock) isn’t going to do one if it doesn’t feel the synergy is a priority (Epic’s opening was… HHN appears to be not so much).

Thank god for Art of the Scare! That's how I found out HHN existed! Living outside Florida, I don't see HHN advertised at all - well, except now on social media popups or something. But back then? Nothing. Saw this documentary in the spring and started attending that Fall.. 21 years later, and I'm still as rabid as ever.

As for announcements - given the current financial climate, I would have thought they would push announcements earlier to get people hyped up and prepared for the cost involved. Travel this year is significantly more expensive than any other year I've traveled for this event. It's all due to the current war and the impact on gas prices (including jet fuel). My normal round trip cost from Chicago to Orlando has been as low as $175 round trip to approx $350 max. Depends on time of year, day traveled, etc. I started the process of booking our flights until I saw they were $500 r/t to start! I can't imagine what the cost would be for those wanting to come from overseas. Also, we all know the tickets/passes will be higher again this year. That kind of financial blow needs to be quantified by what we are actually paying for - meaning, what is coming, and is it worth it?

Of course, I'm still going to attend four weekends, but I'm waiting a while to book flights to see if things may possibly settle down a bit. Not real hopeful though. This one is gonna hurt.

Same here. One friend’s girlfriend or fiancée (can’t remember what the relationship was at that point) bought him a ticket and 4 others of us went with him. Have been going ever since and our group has swelled at various points to as many as 10 I think, but the core 5 have continuously gone almost every year missing a year or two here and there due to work, weddings, birth of children, etc.
