These prices are not bad at all. I thought Helios would start at over $400.00. I can see myself staying here for at least a couple nights.

It’s in line with Sapphire Falls + the closeness to the park. It was never going to be more than the hotels that include express.

From my understanding - the price point is going to be closer to the Portofino/Hard Rock range.

Inexpensive in relation to the location. At that price, or similar, I'd stay there a few days. It's not as luxurious as Portofino, rooms are smaller than Portofino though almost same size as RP, and of course the lack of an Express....but that's a very very affordable price. It's basically the same as the Disney Moderates but with a WDW Deluxe hotel, or better, location. Plus for Universal.....This pricing actually changes my strategy. I originally thought I'd do my traditional 10-12 night stay at the present resort. Now, I'll probably do four days at Helios and the remainder at the present resort hotels.

I'd assume so too - but in that case, no guests will be waking up in the hotel on the day the park opens. They'll be checking in the day the park opens instead.

I find it odd they're not opening the hotel a few days earlier so they can ramp to 100% room availability instead of presumably trying to have a go at it all at once.

More than likely being reserved for media, Comcast executives and VIP guests. I have to imagine there will be an opening celebration gala/event the day prior, so those folks will leave opening day.

When Helios opens, will it offer Express Passes to Universal Studios and IOA? Is it not considered on the same scale as Royal Pacific or Hard Rock? We got really spoiled with the express passes, so if it does not offer them, it will be a no go for us. We probably will stay there one day just to check it out, but without express passes to the other parks, we will continue to stay at Royal Pacific or Hard Rock.
