The second one has more Pinhead action definitely while still keeping the same gothic and sensual tone. The third one is an incredibly stupid movie but also features a cenobite made of CDs, so impossible to say if it's bad or not.

The original. But do go in realizing that, compared to the reputation is now has, it's deliberately paced. The Cebonites largely don't even enter the movie until over half-way through, and are relatively minimal. The real monsters in the original film are the humans. Think of Beetlejuice... he's the only character you remember, but he's only in the film for about 17 minutes. It's sort of the same here.

In fact, trivia... Pinhead is only credited in the original film as "Lead Cenobite". The name hadn't even kicked in yet.

But anyway @Rideguy70 isn't speaking in some zombie movie metaphor, the antagonist of the majority of Hellraiser is essentially a serial killer couple that's only sort of related to Pinhead.

1st sets up the characters. 2nd expands the mythology and setting. 3rd has CD Cenobite.

Yea, the Cenobites are very much secondary characters until the third film.

Just throwing this out there, but is no one gonna talk about how the larger Cenobite with glasses looks kinda like Bubble Bass? How many kids are gonna look at him when he jumps out and yell “STILL NO PICKLES!”

Watched the first three movies and like the Art the clown movies, not really for me

I will say I can see how 2/3 are going to be good houses. They offer lots of moments I can see be very cool if the money is put into them

The costume for Pin head looked amazing, so if they are putting money into this house should be really fun.

The best part many times for HHN is even if you don't care for an IP or movies they can bring the characters alive in a way you are excited to see still

But I also don't care for the Terriffer films and love Art, so can for sure see it happening again

On the note on what did enjoy from the movies are the special effects/make up, not many movies can make corpses look that....wet or drippy along with many scenes of horror being done very well done

I am with you that I have zero interest in the Terrrifier films, but do recognize that Art can make for an entertaining addition to HHN

Unlike you, I love the Hellraiser films, and have been waiting a very long time for it to come to HHN. And while obviously Cenobites will be the feature, I do hope Julia and Frank make some sort of appearance

I am still definitely excited to see how Hollywood tackles things like the Labyrinth from Hellraiser 2 but...wow does it speak volumes how the facade is designed in comparison to Orlando. It's laughable to me that here they just cut a door shaped hole into the side of the cube, a famously intricately folding puzzle box, instead of making any attempt to make it look like the cube is opening for you. And projecting Pinhead's face inside the round hole as well? That just feels so...deeply uncreative. Compare that to Orlando's facade where the cube is folding in on itself and shooting chains out into the room. I've always noticed Hollywood designs things so literally.

I do not know what the respective budgets are for these events. But I am very confident that Orlando's is significantly higher than Hollywood's.

Completely fair to bring up, I do try and keep that in mind. I think for me despite the smaller budget there is still a consistent thread of very Literal Adapting when it comes to Hollywood's mazes that bugs me. It's not even just about being film accurate it's that there's almost never an attempt to explore the IPs in any meaningful way. It's always so surface level. It's obvious to have the facade for a Hellraiser haunt be the Lament Configuration but then it comes down to "What would it look like to walk through it" in Orlando vs. "This is the box from Hellraiser with a Door Hole in it".


Only big creative swings for IPs I can think of recently have been Texas Chainsaw a couple years ago and the Chucky maze, one I really enjoyed and one I thought missed the mark.

Totally fair. I'm not trying to dismiss your criticism at all, just noting that there's a reason Orlando time and again has grander and more impressive set pieces and facades (and fewer repeats) than Hollywood. Though I definitely disagree that Chucky missed the mark! I think that maze ruled!

With similar ticket prices, does anyone know Hollywood vs. Orlando's attendance on average? I get Orlando has been running longer, but I figured by now we'd have caught up in budget because this is clearly an event that's going to stick around and no longer just a test run or an experiment for Hollywood.

List of the Scarezones can get and how many more actors per zone

Combined with the coconut club and tribute store. It is insane to see what real money in an event can look like
It’s also why I dislike like seeing Orlando people complain like you have so much epic, IOA and a bigger HHN.

Hollywood has the tram, the amazing actors, a different Grinchmas and fan fest but mostly Orlando looks like it get sooooooooooo much more money dumped onto it. It’s night and day
