You know, the arches look nice...but it doesn't look done. It looks kinda halfassed to me. Especially halfassed if compared to Carnival of Carnage's entrance.

Stopped by Universal today to pick up Frequent Fear tix & took some pics. A few are below, and the rest are on my Flickr site.

Agreed, I imagined more of a theater facade to be errected. I willing to bet more props will be in place durring the event.

I'm hoping that Universal isn't finished with the arches.

Yes, Carnival of Carnage was a much better entrance than what is in place so far for HHN 19.

all I remember seeing on the facade at the carnival of carnage was the ferris wheel thing with Jacks head spinning. So this seems about the same

I do like that they are using the movie screen at the entrance. If used properly it can really pump you up as you are entering the event.

really...well it was really crowded and I guess I remember the security but that doesn't count
even the scarezones that year weren't something to be remembered I only saw a motorcycle, a few clowns and the chainsaw drill team.

Some shots from tonight. Seems like they are just doing some minor adjustments, but this is the completed set. I'm sure the video screen will have something playing that's a lot more elaborate.

Nothing new here really........ just maybe it'll help get you even more excited, like it did for me! :yikes:

P.S. -- on the very last picture, can anyone tell me what this car is? It looks really familiar, but I can't place it. They were driving it around the park, from the Horrorwood Drive In area to New York, and they were blasting a siren randomly.

Awesome photos, Rewster. Horrorwood has definitely progressed in the past week into what looks like a very fun scarezone. Definitely looking forward to see how they pull it off.

There were a couple interesting things I noticed while there on Saturday.

Inside the ticket booth out in front of the main entrance, my husband noticed there is an A/C unit in a box in the booth. Will there actually be an usher in there??

And on the driver's side windows of the cars at the drive-in, there is a little circular metal piece attached to the window on the inside. I looked up the number on it when I got home and found that it's a device to make anything into a speaker. Hmm, screams of car drivers or the movies audio? We'll see soon enough!

Kevin is probably going I'd figure, unless he's working the event.

2 videos posted over at ABC news..

http://www.abcactionnews.com/news/l...een-Horror-Nights/m1UtcjWec0eJRSQCVdhM3A.cspx

It's on the right. After the first one, it's like the next related video. It's strange how it works. They show Frankenstein and Dracula. The audio on the 2nd video is crap.
