"Universal granted me access to each of this year's haunted houses during technical rehearsals and construction. Here are five things that tested my bladder control.

1. The hissssssssing from the count's wives in Dracula: Legacy of Blood. Marriage doesn't agree with them.

2. The forest within The Wolfman house. What's lurking?

3. The sneaky Sculder characters in The Spawning. There were more gotchas per foot here than anywhere else.

4. The disorienting, spinning, psychedelic tunnel in Chucky: Friends to the End. Fun to watch your friends wobble down the pathway.

5. The screaming from within the SAW house, even as folks exited. I wouldn't call them squeals of delight — but I would call them squeals.

Dewayne Bevil

Sounds awesome!!

Here is a video that appeared on News 13 and that is now on HHNMedia's youtube:

Also, I already posted these on the threads for their respective haunted houses, but since I'm posting the other link here, I'll just include these links as well so you don't have to go look for them:

I'm glad everyone had a great time! I must apologize for the lack of time appearing in Cirque. I was having some major wardrobe issues and had to sit out most of the evening. I'm glad I was able to meet Rewster for the first time. :D

As Lori said, we just got back from opening night. I'd like to give a full personal review of all the attractions once the event is over (we'll be going a few more times), but thought I'd throw out a few first impressions. We didn't make it to the Dracula house or The Spawning on this trip (we'll hit them first next trip), but of the 6 houses we've hit so far, I'd rank them like this :

1. The Wolfman - absolutely the best production value of all the houses, and beautifully designed. I could've spent an hour in this house, looking at detail. This one may be my favorite house at HHN yet.

2. Silver Screams - I was looking forward to this one the most. Maybe not all I hoped it would be, but I still loved it.

3. Leave it to Cleaver - hilarious!

4. Frankenstein - another one with awesome design and production value and some really cool scenes.

5. Saw - nice gory goodness. Very true to the films.

6. Chucky - kudos to the Chucky design. Another fun house with some laughs.

I really don't have anything negative to say about any of them, even though I ranked them by favorite (so far).

I thought Bill & Ted's was really good, even though I know many seem not to like it. (I liked it last year too ). Then again, I was under the influence of spirits and a tasty corndog.

Also, I wasn't really on point with taking pics tonight since I was really there just to take it all in, but I'll post a few I took in a bit - once Photobucket manages to load them.

I was going to PM you, but since you brought it up here ---

Thanks much for coming over to say hello!! I told Lori she missed you, she was in the restroom.... And also, I came over to Cirque to try to snap a pic to post here, but must have missed you due to your issues mentioned.

But was nice to meet ya! Hope to see you next time!

I've been going many years now and I didn't really notice any understaffing to be honest with you. I actually thought most of the scarezones had more staffing than past years, except maybe the stupid cannibal one.

Ok - I haven't been except 2 random years before last year, so I'm sure you're right about that. It may have just been perception, what with it being broad daylight and all.

Btw snoman - thanks for the Joe Montana pic! That cracked me up.....

I agree 100% with the lack of cast. Their were only about 5 actors in containment and only 3 chainsaws in Lights Camera Haction. I also noticed that the houses seemed lighter on staff this year as well.
