Unsure quite where to post this--but I am thinking more and more, and reflecting on posts with that of
@HydraGen2299 on Discord; and I want to talk about the venues of this year here.
Murdy often talks about location is the first most important thing that comes down to determine the direction of a haunted house--and they are often the sort of things that requires pre-planning ahead of treatments. And as my friend Hydra went into depth over on the likes of Theme Park Stop discord--he thinks we were never intended of getting the houses in H-Lot and Eternal Bloodlines, in SS12.
I will let Hydra's comments reflect on his take, and share mine in the end on this (and thank you Hydra for letting me post this)
I think with FFN openly having Courthouse Square--it's time to ask what exactly happened for us to not get Metro (and to subsequently get SS12). The answer as Hydra would reflect on is a good one: as a result of the SAG-Aftra strikes, it wouldn't be out of character that production backload would've taken the priority (ontop of post-pandemic boon).
For how we could've gotten SS12, I think it could be a stroke of dumb luck that boils down to the work that was ongoing with the Creative Campus nearby. That we somehow were able to secure and grab ahold that of the venue safely as there won't be as much major work there going forward (presumably to reduce daytime noise for office space).
Unsure where exactly to put this--and I do intend on bringing this up in 2025 speculation; but I do think there is a potential window to talk about how we could've gotten the Metro sets had the studios of complied as they could've last year early on.
