HHN 25: The Walking Dead: The Living and the Dead

I know exactly what you mean which is why I have been wanting a "Zombiegeddon" sequel house or (if we have to use an IP) "Return of the Living Dead" or "Z Nation".

Z nation would be awesome. There is so much more they can do with that IP. it would be a crazy house for sure

I was desperately hoping they would replace TWD with Z Nation this year. SyFy and the show need the extra attention and I think it would be a more creative house.

Baby zombies, oil zombies, radioactive zombies, Viagra zombies...

bears  They could even use the barn from Walking Dead for a Z nation house. I hope they will.

So how's the effect with the walkers in the water? Is it waist deep? How much of the room is "flooded". Any pictures?

Don't get your hopes up about it at all. It is basically two kiddie pools one on each side with a walker in each one. It may as well have rubber duckies with the zombies casually shouting Marco Polo every once in awhile.

Wow, this was misleading. "A Universal Orlando news releases says that HHN guests will be in a famed food bank scene, where they’ll be surrounded by hundreds of gallons of water as the flesh-hungry walkers -- that's "Walking Dead"-speak for zombies -- attack."

I kind of think something might have happened with the water thing. It apparently wasn't ready for preview night. I wonder if they had something bigger and better planned but it didn't work. I really liked the idea and I was really looking forward to this part. I think this is the reason I'm most disappointed in this house.

For those who haven't seen it this is very close to what they used:

I believe it was black instead of blue though.

It was black but yeah it was similar to that because it had a fountain that was pumping the chlorinated water back in (you could smell the chlorine), but I want to say it was a bit smaller height wise. It's really hard to tell because you can't even see they are in the water unless you are really looking and turn your head while walking around the corner.

I (and a bunch of random people I talked to) had envisioned a bridge that you walked across like the vortex tunnel but instead of the tunnel it would be a bunch of water underneath you with the walkers reaching up at you. A lot like that one room in In Between. It is not that.

I have a pic of the pools from the UTH tour.

I'm torn posting it though, because I don't want people to see the pool and have it influence their perception of the house. Sad as it is, there are people (albeit a few) who enjoy the house...

Post it please!

Honestly it's a small part and isn't a big deal. My only issue was that I was looking forward to this part and was a little disappointed. If I went into it without any knowledge it wouldn't have had a negative impact at all.

I noticed that on Friday too BriMan. I really don't understand the point of having them. For the most part they are covered by scenery except for the less flattering angles.
