I don't have sources, I just recall reading it in an article a few months ago. It mentioned something about the show making a return despite its controversy last year. Not saying that article was 100% reliable, but I'm hoping it was true to some degree.
There is truth to that article. Universal did renew the rights for three more years, but like Brover said, Hollywood may choose to do it again or not. Speaking of which, I got a call from someone who is pretty reliable who, right around this time, told me the line-up for last year's event. Here's what he said:
1) No shows this year. None. They are using the seventh house and DM to fill that void. Pretty mind-numbingly stupid considering that when the rope drops, people will have no where to go but lines. Looks like the queues are going to stack up very quickly this year. You'd think from last year they'd learn, but they may find out the hard way this year. They could have Chucky's Insult Emporium back if we're lucky, but I seriously doubt that.
2) The seventh maze is NOT going in the SES theater. It's going in the backlot. They are expanding the experience to hold more people so that makes sense.
3) He also told me the line-up. Dracula: Untold, The Conjuring, Cabin in the Woods, American Werewolf in London, A clown maze with Slash, Walking Dead (Confirmed obviously), and Alien VS Predator.
Note: I would not post this here unless I was VERY certain of this.
