I know this is off topic but I've seen "Don't Breath" during SDCC and can see a potential maze from that movie. Especially when you compare it to "Lights Out". (I remember this being mentioned) JMO.

Actually I just thought of something earlier this year Murdy stated that none of the mazes in this year's lineup would be having the letter "B" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Blood Brothers" has 2 "B"s "B"lood 1 "B"rothers 2.

I believe those letters only applied to the properties that made the short list. Not necessarily the subtitles to their mazes.

Looks like Halloween II is starting to get some exterior details added.

Anyone else wondering what the FvJ facade will be? Doesn't look like 1428 Elm St. to me...

Just read his tweet " Thinking of a tough Slasher inspired trivia question for a give away tomorrow (Front of line tix to HHN and behind the scenes maze tour"

so my big question is does this sound like there could be VIP this year? Since he would give away a behind the scenes maze tour?

What I heard was V/RIP would not be returning this year. Besides, Murdy does that with a lucky fan every year.

Especially if they never bring back VIP, there's no reason they can't be generous

That would be odd though, yes? It seems like they are wanting to focus on the Killer Quartet (that's what I call them altogether); so that would possibly overshadow all the new detail's for FvJ, Halloween, and TCM.

Maybe I can be wrong; but to me..it wouldn't make sense. Plus, I would think that it'd be a bad idea to announce a shared IP at a convention like this, but that's my opinion.

While it would seem weird to announce Krampus today it would make some sense because of how much detail has been put into the facade it's become very obvious.

But announcing a shared property at a California convention while seeming weird is not entirely out of the realm of possibility. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that Welcome to Silent Hill was announced at Comic-Con in 2012 and that was a shared property. However mid-summer scream is nothing compared to comic-con but still it has happened before.

But I think Krampus will be announced sometime next week maybe at ScareLA or just another time.

SDCC is different in a way, as that is covered by big media outlet's alongside major companies.

And to note, TWD, Silent Hill (as you mentioned), and Crimson Peak was all announced during SDCC in the past.

Considering the façade, it seems based more on the movie rather than the Urban Legend.

Although still on the page of Krampus/DC, wouldn't it be a smart move to relocate Dark Christmas to the Metro Set's as a scarezone? I mean; it has been well received as one of the best scarezones in Horror Night's history; and it could make sense on giving it a larger space with maybe more creatures to boot? Perhap's that is just my own wishful thinking, but it could make sense.

Both La Llarona and El Cucuy were originals based off of the legends, Krampus is based off of the movie which is based off of the legend so loosely I'd say it is a legend maze but it's more movie based than based on the legend. Besides there are no originals this year so that would mean it is movie based

I'll be listing what was talked about at the MSS panel..

  • It was confirmed that FvJ will be receiving Multiple Ending's with rotating sets.
  • There will be a tribute to Wes Craven in FvJ
  • Murdy and Chris wanted to make a sequel to the original TCM that was never made in the first place; hence why it takes place before the event's of TCM2
  • Premise of the maze revolves on Chop Top coming home
  • Façade of Blood Brothers will be the Gas Station from the original movie
  • Guest's will enter Leatherface's room for the first time
  • Teasing of the ending of TCM
  • Murdy mention's once more that Halloween: Michael Myer's Comes Home was the highest rated Horror Night's house of All Time
  • Halloween: Michael Myer's Comes Home was originally called Halloween: The Ghost of Michael Myer's
  • The bulk of Hell Comes to Haddonfield will be within the Haddonfield Memorial Hospital.
  • Guests will hear Dr. Loomis as you enter the maze
  • Hell Comes to Haddonfield will include all of the iconic kills from Halloween 2
  • The finale of Hell comes to Haddonfield will be of the "You can't kill the boogyman" scene

Also sorry Alex had to take this one. I quote Murdy at "Midsummer Scream": "We still have more mazes to announce, hopefully starting this week coming up." So we might receive a maze announcement this week. Gonna throw a prediction and say it's "Krampus" because of the facade, the hints throughout the year, Orlando hasn't announced something in a while so might as well announce a shared mazes, and "American Horror Story" will probably be our last maze to be announced (not at "Scarela") because it would be a surprise.

I have to imagine that Krampus is our next announcement..but I wonder if they may give Jabbawockeez any fanfare, much like last year.
