Call me sick and twisted... *holds for you all to think it* I have always wanted to be evac'd from a ride. I love seeing how things work on the back end and while a valleyed coaster, probably after the non-looping loop again, would just be a nice ladder type system from the local fire department being evac'd off a ride like RipSaw Falls might have cooler inner workings.
Best I have had thus far is an evac from RipSaw one log back from the unload station so we were already on the conveyor at least a little bit.

On a side note one of the staff at Rockit had told me that they do not have a proper evac plan for the lift hill and that should something fail their actions would be to launch the train through the loop and over to the first set of block brakes above Twister and evac the train from there.

Going to Universal tomorrow, anyone know if Rockit will still be closed. I don't think a valley would keep it down for more than a day but anyone have any info saying otherwise.

Honestly, don't count on riding it. But I'm not saying it WILL be closed.

Its not supposed to be a common occurance for a well designed coaster. A coaster should never be on the brink of working with gravity, even with wind factored in. There have not been any 'high winds' either.

The winds were in the 20's today, actually. And they're much higher up at the top of a coaster. Considering these trains are extremely small and light, valleying in a high wind situation should be almost expected. That's why they close it down so readily.

Scary that it has valleyed and not just once... Good thing no riders were on there!

 Excited hands up here! LOL! At least no "winds" will cause it to have to stop, although it could bring all synch and SFX issues from a dark ride. I was riding Spiderman the other day and it was WAY out of synch and the music was not playing... it was weirddd.. haha but enough off-topicness.

I wouldn't say that. In the past, after a valley it has been reopened the next day. It may be closed on and off throughout the day depending on the wind, but I would expect it to be reopened tommorow.

It should be open tomorrow. The ride hasn't valleyed with guests on it so even though it sucks, it's not a huge issue they need to keep the ride closed to investigate for...especially during Spring Break :)

Also, the ride is unlikely to valley with passengers because of the added weight. More weight = more momentum.

Right on mantaguy! And I can't believe the ride valleyed! It's not a huge problem though...something like that could be fixed within a day.

Something like this should have been fixed by day one. I know it happens to coasters but it is happening to Rockit' far too often.

Yeti Pintrader is spot on this time. I think I have received my fair share of scrambled transmissions from Rockit. I'll support it , but beyond that, eh. I will attempt to continue to board, but its getting on my nerves now.

How is this ride valleying not a huge issue? I personally would be pretty pissed off if I went to Universal to ride this and it was closed because the damn train didn't have enough momentum to keep going.

There was supposed to be a winch system installed to pull it up onto the break run. This would prevent the great delays in the ride being down as they would then merely push it into its next run and come back to the station. Has the winch system not been installed yet?
