When HRRR goes through the old ghostbusters facade, they had to redo the whole facade basically.

Well i know this does not 100% confirm it but wikipedia states 45 Million

This also does not confirm it, well maybe it does it states towards the bottom its budget through the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is or was 45 million dollars. Also does not mean they used all of it but due to complications I would guess this coaster cost them alot more than that. Here is the link,

Exactly! When you compare it to a coaster like Sheikra, you gotta ask yourself where the rest of the money went? lol

Universal got a great concept that sadly was not ready to work as sold. You look at other coasters, Manta, Sheikra that have been built in that time period and see the Universal got the short end of that deal.

I am personally glad that Universal didn't wait for another B&M. Central FL has plenty of B&M coasters. Variety is the spice of life.

And come to think of it, I bet those vehicles with lights as well as video and audio on every single seat didn't come pretty cheap either!

They should have gone with Vekoma though, EE is a vekoma track and is one the smoothest coasters I've ever been on. That would have been perfect for this project.

My first ride on Rockit was smooth as a baby's bottom, actually. My third time was in row 6. Yeesh.

Everest is probably one of the only large Vekomas in the world that is smooth. Vekoma is know for making rough coasters.

As for me, I'm happy with Rockit. I wonder if a smaller B&M hyper would be better, but Rockit's smooth, great air, and is an overall awesome ride, so I shouldn't complain.

Rockit has been VERY inconsistent for me... Some times around it has been so smooth and exhilarating, but other times have been scary rough or speakers were effing up...

It's more the track system they choose. I don't think the junior coasters they make (Roller Skaters and the like) aren't bad, but the coasters that try to emulate the Arrow track system (wheels on the inside: http://rcdb.com/429.htm?p=9825 ) get rough quicker on average, rather than something like B&M's coasters (wheels on the outside and a suspension system: http://rcdb.com/3305.htm?p=15448 ). Also, note the differences between the nylon on the wheels (it's usually a lot thinner on Vekoma trains versus B&M).

Rockit was running 4 trains today and at noon had about a 25-30 minute wait. Rode it twice as a single rider since it was less than 5 minutes and both rides were smooth.

Great pics! The first one makes it look like a beauty with the landscaping.
