Technically, I thought of a 90’s Vamp zone in 99 with a Y2K Hysteria, only because I wanna see them represent the music genres during the decade and even the early 2000’s like Grunge and Nu-Metal. But I know one YouTube channel with one of the YouTubers who wants the “First HHN” theme with vampires idea.

Knew I couldn’t be the first with the idea lol and yeah I remember reading about 99. I wouldn’t complain if so as I was born in 99

My biggest with list for the event isn't a concept or an IP... it's a physical "expansion" of the event to accommodate modern day crowds.

Sizing of the new tents is accurate based on the permit that was submitted last year.

Tents 1 & 2 are the two new existing tents. I took the exact same tent and added two additional ones to replace the Sprung Tents and give the HHN team safety from future park expansion.

The one condition of this plan, is that the BoH access point to the right of MIB's restrooms needs to be doubled in size to accommodate the crowds.

This festival center can hold up to 5 food & beverage tents (sizing to scale) and 2 mobile restroom facilities to help reduce the strain on the park's facilities. (Alternatively, albeit expensive, they can always expand the MIB restrooms).

You can also adjust Tent 4's access point to DreamWorks Land to help spread crowds out a bit more as well if you wanted to.

Just thinking ahead of what HHN could look like as USF starts to get worked on.

I would love to see something like this - maybe I'm missing it, but where would you enter this area? Where you currently enter for the old sprungs?

To the right of the MIB restrooms, where Slaughter Sinema entered last year. That path is very small at the moment, so its needs to be enlarged.

Ah, I totally missed that on the map!

I would love to see this, I'd just hope that the festival area would be big enough. That's a lot to fit into one area, along with 4 house portals.

If there was a moment of more than houses in total without causing a bottleneck problem by adding another soundstage location, then this could be the way to go.

Went ahead and expanded the concept of Festival Areas elsewhere throughout the event. I'll be using last year's event as an example. I also take into consideration the future of USF. This means, Rockit's replacement is open and accessible through New York, Springfield is taken over and expended onto the older sprung tent area, and the Fast and Furious replacement is open and well received enough to generate some demand during HHN (requiring the relocation of a house here).

Essentially 4 festival areas around USF that expand the park's footprint and helps provide additional capacity for walking space and dining. Each of these will be themed with variations of the main event's theme or adjacent scare zone. Similar to Howl o Scream's bars, they will allow guests to relax and enjoy smaller entertainment acts in an themed environment. At the entrance of each festival center, marquees with the houses available will be listed along with their posted waits. Here, DAS users will have the opportunity to receive a return time versus going to the individual house portal.

A) Music Plaza - returns the music plaza area for guest use versus queue space (moved to SS alleyways). The stage will contain entertainment and the entire viewing area will feature additional seating and F&B booths (replace the ones in NY across the Transformers bar). This area could have been themed to Sinister & Surreal with lighting and photo op areas.
B) New York Festival Area - using the SS33 special event area. This one's a tough sell taking it away from special events, but I think it can be done. Could be themed to the overall event. Whether or not they use SS33, they will likely have to redo the way HHN utilizes this area with the Rockit replacement's entrance located here. Too congested already, and a new coaster here will add further stress to the area.
C) MIB Festival Area - located behind MIB, a new HHN area is created that reduces the bottleneck congestion between the London-MIB corridor. This will not only allow additional F&B capacity to be added, but reduce congestion caused by Nightmare Fuel. Can only happen if they expand the MIB Back of House access gate to the right of the restrooms. I'd try to make this area themed to "generic" Halloween so it can be reused each year. If this backstage area is designated for HHN use solely from now on, I'd plant trees to help provide shade as that asphalt can be very hot. HNF will utilize the MIB extended queue and Diagon gate extended queue to reduce crowds bleeding outside.
D) DreamWorks (specifically the area below and in front of Animal Actors), this will help spread guests back here unlike last year's event. Pizza Fries stand last year was relatively empty throughout the event. The theme of the Central Park zone can be "expanded" here. So imagine a swamp-themed bar/lounge.

This map assumes Springfield replacement requires the build of two new tents to replace older sprung tents & Rip Ride Rockit's proposed replacement. I also went ahead and relocated the F&F tent as I'd like the HHN team to have a decent venue space that isn't too cramped and whatever replaces Supercharged is well received and allowed to open during HHN.

Stay & Scream
As for Stay & Scream, the event's popularity has made Stay & Scream a more sought-after option. Over the years, Universal has attempted to fix crowding, but I still think it's a bit messy and can strain park ops a bit. With that said, I looked to see if there were alternatives available that would reduce the need to close significant areas of the park.
*This assumes the Rockit coaster replacement is complete and Pokemon/Old Sprung Tents can't be used.

New York Stay & Scream
A1) Entrance at the old Rockit entrance
A2) Event ticket scanners & queue located at the Soundstage Queue from Monstrous
A3) Crossover to NY Holding pen. Area is significantly reduced to still accommodate the ability to visit Finnegan's. Assuming festival center is a thing at SS33, that will open up to allow guests to stay away from the sun. Even if they don't want to add food & beverage here, and assuming no special event that night, they should use this area as holding pens/queues to avoid guests being in the sun/inclement weather.
Access to houses 3,4, and 5.

San Francisco Stay & Scream
B1) Entrance at Richter's
B2) Event ticket scanners
B3) Crossover into holding areas
Access to tents 6 & 7.

DreamWorks Stay & Scream
C1) Entrance at Crepe
C2) Ticket scanners
C3) Crossover to Animal Actors & Pizza Fries at DreamWorks Cafe
Access to House 9 with queue located inside the Imagination Celebration queue/theater for shelter.

One last change I'd make to the event operationally is to pre-load guests waiting at the front gate into the highlighted green area below. Hotel guests will be prioritized to enter this area first, before they fill up with non-resort guests.

I didn't know this thread existed! So I'm hopping on to give my dream wish list.

1. Gremlins. This might be my ultimate dream house (in case my profile picture didn't make that clear lol). We know HHN loves to give us classic throwback films and you can't get more classic than Gremlins. This would make an incredible horror comedy house if they incorporated the right amount of puppetry. I am manifesting this every year until it comes to fruition.

2. Dueling Dragons: Redux. Hear me out. I loved the idea of having Dueling Dragons, absolutely hated the house. I felt the lack of dragons in a house called "Dueling Dragons" was probably the biggest wasted opportunity I've ever seen from HHN. Redo it this time with dragon puppets (doesn't even have to have a full scale dragon puppet, just pop a wing and some claws out of some castle windows, a head somewhere...), can even have some dragon shadows via screens, needs loud dragon sound effects. Less wizards fighting each other, more dragons in battle and town folk in peril running from said dragons, the way it should have always been...

3. The Clive Barker Collection. I'm a massive Clive Barker fan and I think adapting from either his books and his films would make for incredible HHN houses. Either standalone houses based off particular books or a "best hits" collection with a different "scene" from each book. Think: H Hellraiser, Candyman...hell, give me Midnight Meat Train. Adapting short stores from Books of Blood could work too.

Similar thought but alternatively:

4. The Stephen King Collection. In this dream scenario, I am leaning towards adapting from his books rather than movies since we've already had The Shining film adaptation as a house. Thinking: Carrie, The Shining, Misery, The Mist, Pet Semetery, 'Salem's Lot.

5. From the Mind of: Guillero del Toro:
A mash-up of classic scenes from his films or a collaboration for an original house would be visually stunning and amazing.

6. From the Mind of: Cronenberg: I realize this is getting into more niche territory than the general public would want but this is a dream wish list and I know horror fans on here will also appreciate David Cronenberg and body horror. This is another scenario where I would gladly take either standalones of certain films or a mashup. The Fly would be AMAZING as a house with a lot of great twisted make up effects. Alternatively Videodrome. Alternativey: if HHN collaborated with David Cronenberg for an original body horror house...that would be something. Again, one can dream.

And again on a similar tangent...
7. Masters of (horror) Make-up: I think it would be really cool to get a house that just really celebrated really amazing horror SFX make up on the actors. There are several horror make-up artists coming to mind...Rick Baker, Rob Bottin, Greg Nicotero...but who really comes to mind right now is Tom Savini. Something tells me he would be most likely to collaborate with HHN.

Others I won't go into as much explanation would be:
  • The Thing (bring it back)
  • Alien (I realize it's never going to happen with 20th Century Fox being Disney now but it's my favorite movie.)
  • (on that note) Predator
  • Evil Dead
  • J-Horror house (Ringu for example)
  • Tremors (with the right puppetry this could be so fun)
  • The Blob (again with the right puppetry)
  • Event Horizon (extreme longshot, so I'd takean original inspired by)
  • Thir13en Ghosts (yes, I know. Since it's not really "good" enough to be considered a "classic", give us a reboot again to adapt to make it relevant again and I think this would work.)
  • Suspiria (or any giallo inspired house, the bright reds would be gorgeous)
  • Phantasm
  • Jaws
  • Jurassic Park
  • The Munsters (IN black and white)
  • Men in Black (for an anniversary year of the original movie...with puppets...perfectly fun comedy house.)
  • Little Shop of Horrors (come on, this would be a great comedy-horror house. Audrey II puppets would be a dream)
  • Rocky Horror Picture Show (give us the stage show again or give us a musical house. It would be awesome lol)
  • House of Wax (the original Price film or get a new reboot going for relevance)
  • Medieval Torture House (we had the scarezone, now let's get the house)
  • Vamp: Through The Decades (we had Vamp '55 and '85 scare-zones, let's get a vampire themed house where you travel throughout multiple decades)
  • Scream
  • ...and I'm sure I'll think of more but for now this is good.
