There's been a large number of posts on the Universal AP FB site that describes a sometimes glitch in the rates charged on customer's bills. So if you're staying in one of Universal/Lowes hotels, double check your billing....In most of the cases it involved mobile check in and/or when a guest updates their requests. What happens is that the AP rate discount/stay more save more discount rate at booking is automatically changed to the full non discounted day rate. This involves a significant daily rate increase. This glitch has been happening for a few months now and continues. So, be aware they haven't fixed this yet and get confirmation of your rate at the check in desk and after you're billed. And keep your original reservation/number and daily rate printout as proof.
