I'd be very surprised if Hollywood Photoland makes it out of this intact.

Good point. Never even thought about that, actually. If Hollywood Photoland does get the boot, I wonder what they'll do for guests asking for their photos at the front gates.

They could always tuck it into the "Featured" store, that's a flex space store anyway.

Uh last I heard this was a store and a restaurant combo. I'm pretty sure that's what Murdy is referring to.

I hope the restaurant is gonna be really nice....lord knows the park needs it.

If it was up to me, I'd make it an amazing Restaurant/New Universal Experience combo, similar to Planet Hollywood but more detailed. It would clear space on the lower lot to allow for a larger walkway towards the Stage 28 replacement attraction, would give us a larger Universal Experience, and would give us a fun and fancy-ish restaurant in a really cool setting.

There's also supposed to be an entertainment aspect as well. Take that however you will.

If only USH had an invisible sound shield surrounding it, I'd love to have it be a station for a Hollywood Dream-esque coaster that surrounds the park. Alas that'll never be...

Pipe Dream: Monster Mania! Frankenstein delivers your pizza to your table Wouldn't that be great?

What I could see is maybe a Universal restaurant. A Back to the Future dining area, A Jurassic Park area, A Universal Monsters themed bar....same concept as Rainforest Cafe but themed to the different Universal films.

I'd rather it be similar to that, but be a Universal Experience/restaurant combo. Although themed dining areas based on some classic movies would be fantastic.

Considering the fact that Murdy responded to that tweet, I get the feeling that the Universal Classic Monsters will be a part of this in some fashion; whether that be a themed room in a restaurant or something else.

Marvel Mania was a restaurant/store combo.  Nothing new there.  I just want to know the theme!  Keeping the monsters would be nice, but get rid of the ugly facade.

I'm guessing the facade is gonna be something Art Deco and blend in with the Entrance and Universal Plaza. I hope it's fancy.

:D I wish.. That would be amazing. I've ridden a similar model (B&M Hyper instead of Mega, Raging Bull@SFGA) and I think the park would greatly benefit. USJ saw a 63% revenue increase when they installed it.

What side of USH is the furthest away from any neighbors? I'm sure if they really wanted to, they'd figure out a new engineered way to reduce the sound of a coaster.

if they go North, they could but you'd have to do something of a drop to the hill and make a new sound-barrier for that area just in case of the backlot. Then, you would have to make it a out and back, small and not a huge ride. just long... and then they could do something like California Screaming for the main lift hill and drop.

Anyone have any pictures to share of HoH behind the walls? What I'm wondering is if they'll move the stairs to the entrance forward. That would help with foot traffic.

Well what they're trying to accomplish is a new kind of Dining/Entertainment/Shopping venue. What I'm curious about is the overall connecting theme and how they'll make the different aspects (dining, shopping, etc) work together. In my head I keep picturing something similar to Planet Hollywood restaurants.

I heard Creative was out front of HOH today looking at blueprints.  No word yet on final design or IP.

I wonder if they'll just make it "generic" and just make it all Art Deco to blend in with the entrance plaza and Universal Plaza.

Not that I'd complain, I love the look of the Universal Plaza Tower.
