I really wonder if Universal plans on treating JP as a big franchise again, it seems with JP3D, JP4 and this park expansion that they have a least semi big and optimistic plans for the future.

Well who doesn't love dinosaurs?

Are you suggesting that Steven Spielberg is producing a movie for the sole reason of building a ride in a theme park? That isn't even logical.

While that's probably not the case, there's definitely a correlation between the two...JO3Y, IoA probably put a Seuss Landing expansion on hold because a JP expansion would tie into the new movie (not the other way around). There's no need to be rude about it though lol.

i wasn't even aware of a Seuss expansion lol. you'd be surprised at how little of Universal news i actually know. but i can see if they understood it would help, but i tend to consider all possible scenarios or trains of thought.

I wonder if the 'mine train' rumor is actually cluing us into the plot of the upcoming film. I believe I heard that this film may go back before the other movies and be storied on the science and development of JP. If so, digging in the amber mines could be part of such a prequel-plot.

Hollywood is built for churning out "established" propertires nowadays. You can't really remake JP1, so you reboot the franchise and hope for the best.

There was always a plan for an expansion at either land, movie or not. My sources aren't as in as Hate's but he always was sure with a JP expansion since 2 years ago.

Well that's why I said probably, because I have almost no sources lol. I mean there must be some possibility that plans were accelerated for JP because of the movie though right? It would be more affective to open it to coincide with a movie release that tons of people will probably go see, rather than a couple years after.

I am also hearing that the Dark Ride is most likely NOT going to be part of the expansion. OK, NOT going to be part of the expansion. I know it was in consideration for the expansion, but sadly no. My sources have not been able to confirm what HAS been green lit for this expansion. Only that it has been green lit.

idk i feel like the movie is just an excuse to have a reason for expanding the park... it sounds stupid but idk i just some feeling about it

I dont think the Jurassic Park island needs an excuse to expand anything. It's Jurassic Park fergodsakes! And out of all the lands it deserves the most attention.

Disappointing the dark ride isn't in it. IoA needs that kind of experience.

Amber mine should be great, and hopefully the JPRA overhaul still happens.
