I think we have all been shocked as to what Uni has been able to do in such short time frames. God only knows how long something as big as DA would have taken using disney's time frame

Hello duffles! Ive been quite busy as of late but Im finding time to become more involved with my favorite hobby!

I certainly agree. Anything is possible with the way Uni is rolling but what we have is a very large order...We shall see though!

That's such a weird thought. I'd be curious too!!! Dude kong is gonna rock it, just finished that scene with all the giant bugs and they are scary. Hopefully those giant ones that look like the like likes from Zelda make a appearance. BTW the sections on the SS venture make me want a boat ride too. I really suggest you all watch the remake and section out things that you think would make a appearance. It's tons of fun

Yep, not a big deal it being IOA's Bday. If they are able to open it on June 7th 2015, that would be a huge deal in the theme park world. IMO it would signify that Uni is back and better than ever,

Kongfrontation was a ride at the Universal Studios Florida theme park, in Orlando, Florida, the main attraction in the park's New York section. It opened as one of the original attractions at the park on June 7, 1990 and was closed on September 8, 2002. Revenge of the Mummy opened in its place on May 21, 2004. It was based on a 1976 movie King Kong (1976 film) and King Kong Encounter, a previous attraction on the long running Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood.

How amazing would it be if they open this ride on June 7th, 2015? 25 years exactly after the original opened.

Well June 7, 2014 is 24 years after the original Kong ride (and the resort) opened... Announcement, maybe? :look: :shrug:

I find it so weird that IOA is 15 years old today, time flies. It's hilarious too because out of 15 years they only added 2 flat rides and a land that was mostly already there before yet it's still more complete than 3/4 Disney parks. Seriously the best theme park ever made and definitely stood the test of time. Happy birthday IOA!!!!

Ass kissing aside I'm down for a June 7th announcement or teaser to chew on until later. Possibly a transformers style reveal using cinespec?

I doubt it would open next June...Transformers was able to go from Greelight to fully done in a year because the ride tech and everything had already been built twice. Kong will be a first run ride, so don't expect it open by next June.

Maaaaaaaybe the fall or winter...but not summer.

Kong wasn't working until August 1990.

I was there today and saw construction walls spanning an entrance/meet and great size area by Discovery Center and Trike Encounter (was that what you meant). Maybe they're moving the T-Rex there.

I too can confirm the T-Rex is gone. When I went by the area, the T-Rex was already moved to the east side of the site towards Ripsaw Falls. I could even see it sticking out over the maintenance gate between Toon Lagoon and the JP entrance. The car is still there though.

They were digging like crazy today. At occasions I could see the backhoe over the fence moving dirt. They're definitely wasting no time with this!
