Because you told me you weren't going to go to universal until Kong opened on twitter. Lol

You can moan about screens all you want. The ride isn't possible without them

I'm not saying "Don't use screens at all ever", what i'm saying is try to mix it up a bit and add in more physical sets. I have hope for Kong, but we'll see. The queue for Gringotts is great, but again, that's just a queue.

I'm simply saying, while the rides are great at Universal, they are all similar in not only that they are very reliant on screens, but they are action packed. Not that that's a bad thing from a fun perspective, it's great. But sometimes you just want a ride where you can take a break and those aren't too prevalent at Universal. Even something as simple as a people mover type of ride would do wonders.

Give me some examples.

Just because i'm not 100% Positive about ANYthing Uni does doesn't mean I don't love the resort. I'm much more excited about their future than WDW's, but everything must be properly criticized in order and not just be looked at as perfect because Uni did it. I like to stay middle of the road on things, I have no incentive to be pro-Uni or Pro-WDW. I criticize what I see very fairly imo.

Some of you Uni fanboys are without a doubt worse than the worst pixie dusters. And that says a lot.

Please show me one Uni fan boy comment thats worse than the Pixie Dusters who said Tangled Rest Rooms are a more immersive area than Hogsmeade. I mean just for the sake of my curiosity and humor cause thats about as bad as it gets IMO. Oh and I fixed your original statement :pop:

FWIW while Next Big Thing may have a different perspective than most here including my own he has a made a few good points. The other day I nearly wrote this argument but was going somewhere and knew I wouldn't have time to counter.

Universal needs a Disney ride and Disney needs a Universal Ride and this comment applies to both Universal Parks as well as all 4 Disney Parks. Both need to break out of their shells to appeal to larger audiences. Now without going into detail and avoid putting a sock into my own mouth I will say one resort is looking to break the mold and its probably not the one most are thinking

OK, that comment was probably a bit much.

And thank you for at least recognizing that i'm not crazy and that some of the things i've said are valid

I don't hate Uni, I just want the resort to be the best it can be. Sticking to doing the same thing over and over again isn't helping that. Same with Disney. I want the best for them, but just building kiddie rides does nothing to widen appeal or to break their mold.

I was thinking BGT or Sea World since he said a park we're not thinking of.

Although I do know FunSpot has an expansion coming up, although I don't know if HTF even has FunSpot on his radar.

Not to be a :censored: but one is in Orlando and the other is in Kissimmee. The one which was recently expanded has the land and intention to expand again sometime in the future. I do not believe the one in Kissimmee is going to be expanded soon.

I would say Busch too. Cedar Fair and Six Flags have been breaking their stereotypes with dark ride additions, its time for Busch to follow suit. Plus, Williamsburg already has experience with them and to my knowledge their Spider-Man type ride is successful. BGT could use more non-coaster rides, more family-oriented rides and more attractions that are indoors for when those Tampa thunderstorms roll in. Following the new trend of regional parks installing interactive dark rides would fit the bill on all accounts.

They actually just recently posted a pic on facebook of cleared land in the expansion pad thought to be for the water park they had announced. They are expanding NOW.

That is the park in Orlando. From the original announcement there should be another expansion of rides after this one with the water park. I see all that happening before we hear about an expansion in Kissimmee.

My comment made that sound different from how I meant it. I WAS talking about the Orlando park.

I figured you must have known that, just trying to clarify. The expansion land I was talking about is across the street, for after the waterpark portion is done.

At this park they are on their own, in Kissimmee they share with competition. I am thinking in Orlando they want to make it more than a "we'll stop in for a bit" park before moving on. Let that park be the bread winner for some time. Then in Kissimmee it would be great if they could buy out their competition. It would be cool if they buy out Old Town and kept the concept, making it nicer of course. Just have that as the hub, making it more integrated and surround it with new rides.

Funspot Orlando is getting an S&S screaming swing and apparently something called a laser challenge, I think it is like an obstacle course involving lasers, would be cool though if it was something like an escape the room challenge.

Been wondering, what does HTF really mean with breaking the mold? Does it mean a park just doing something that it normally does not do? If so, could be that BGT is getting a dark ride: Tut's Revenge!

There is what looks like a building frame for a 3 story tall or so show building then there is that flat frame above it. Is that gunna just be the wall facade on top or is this a 2 story attraction?

Can people post more pictures here?

I know everyone is doing the Twitter now, and there are other sites, but I like this site the best as my hub of info on the subject. Not trying to complain and I do appreciate what y'all do
