^ Yep, much of the building has been changed. The question remains whether or not they are keeping both of the first two track curves inside the building. As I said before, if they are keeping them, the second curve will have to be tightened a whole bunch. The first is already as tight as it can be.

Here is a bit of food for thought. I can't figure out some of it myself, would like to hear some input from you all.

Here is the building layout on-top of an Ariel picture.

Food_For_Thought.jpg

The Red square is where you will depart from, with the yellow obviously being the load platform. The Green is the entrance into the Show-Building. I can't figure out exactly what the Purple square is, would love to hear what you all think it is.

These two pictures are from @MickeyXtreme on twitter.

The purple may be the entrance to a maintenance garage? Maybe it marks where the transfer track is so vehicles can be loaded into storage when the ride is closed or when a vehicle needs to be worked on.

It strikes me as an emergency exit as there are doors in a similar location on older documents.

Too, it appears that you might have made the main (tall) show building too wide from front to back. I don't see that the construction is that close to the JP walkway.

I can't believe how quick this thing is coming along. Seemed like they went from normal speed to ludicrous speed overnight and haven't slowed up since then.

I'm not concerned at all about the tech in the ride. I have no doubts that they'll knock it out of the park.

Is there any word on the length of the ride in terms of time? I hope it isn't as short as something like RotM.

Didn't HTF once say it would be rather long, 5 minutes or even more?

Expect the ride time to change between how YOU execute the final Scene. You will unload and have a large scene to exit.

The actual ride itself will be about 3:45 to 4:00 long.

I do want to say that this is a great concept. When stuff like this is done before the ride most people tend to just run past it or huddle around the next door. But after the ride it seems the efforts would probably be more appreciated.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned but the eastern side of the building is closing up and the large metal anchor out front is receiving tiny support holders for facade attachments.

Totally agree......and if Uni executes this concept well......it will be another feather in their cap as they once again push the envelope on attraction experiences.

Like everyone said, I'm not too worried about the tech...I feel like they set the bar pretty high already. it'll just be nice to have another attraction in IOA....at times I felt like i was just flying through the park

Its probably too early to ask this question, but will there be a separate thread for those who want to keep up with news, but don't want spoilers? Kind of like there were separate threads for Harry Potter? All this talk of final scenes is starting to scare me. LOL

It's an idea I readily invite.Examples: Despicable Me has the Dance Floor at the end of the ride. Though it's not major significant, it's a lot of fun & seems well attended...Then there's the alien behind the door at the top exit stairs of Men In Black. Once we discovered that, we never miss it & have a ton of fun watching the act. It's a minor thing but a great idea. If they take this a step farther and do a post ride scene that's as significant as a great entrance queue (like Mummy) that could be tremendous and groundbreaking. Why do all the good stuff before the ride starts, save some for when the ride is over, pure genius. And people might linger longer than they do when running through an empty entrance queue.

Many of Epcot's attractions have been using that model for years (albeit fairly half-assed). I'm sure Uni doing it with Kong will blow Disney out of the water.

Skull Island has been moved from November 4, 2016 to March 10, 2017.

Good move for the movie. It's former date was occupied by Marvel's Doctor Strange, which is followed by Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them a few weeks later, and Avatar 2 supposedly coming out the month after that. Skull Island would have had to really claw and fight for money in that timeframe.

10 months after the attraction. I'm not sure what to make of this.

If it is to be a great movie, then the competition shouldn't matter at all. There is always competition.

Competition always matters. Especially during the school year when kids only have so much time to go to the movies.

Not saying Kong couldn't have made money there, but when you're going up against Marvel for the same demographic, you're going to lose now a days. And you don't want to start your new franchise against the reigning king
