And in case you didn't catch it, that's Zack Galifanakis as Jumba and Billy Magnussen as Pleakley. My excitement continues to not exist.

As someone with heavy bias that can recite EVERY lyric of Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride
(yes, even the hawaiian), I am very hyped for this especially if they keep the soundtrack the same or closely similar. Elvis plus the select originals? Sign me up.

This seems to have gotten the most positive reception ever for a Disney live action remake.

I like how it stayed true to the original with the casting choices but also adding more scenes to help fluff out the story.

Honestly - this is the one live action remake I’m ok with. The casting is great (Lilo is adorable) and getting the OG voice for Stitch/cgi really puts it up there for me. I’m quite excited!

I actually think this will have more differences from the original than the other remakes usually had.

Consider that this was originally intended for streaming. That means the budget is likely going to be lower. We've already seen that Jumba and Pleakley will be using human disguises (to help reduce the VFX costs no doubt). There's also no glimpse of Gantu anywhere in the trailer nor has there been any casting news, which leads me to believe that character will not be in the film. So you're essentially looking at an entirely different third act, presumably with Bubbles filiing the antagonist role.

Whether or not these changes will work...well that remains to be seen until the final product of course.

The trailer looks great.. but I definitely want an extended trailer because I'm curious to see more.

My nitpicks are the Cobra Bubbles casting, but sadly Michael Clarke Duncan isn't with us anymore because he would've been great.

Pleakly not being in unconvincing drag similar to the 1st live-action Scooby-Doo movie is disappointing. Sure the use of alien tech to appear human is clever, but seems like a lazy budget-saving cop-out to not have to spend on more CGI. The bad disguises were part of the humor of the animated film.

If we don't get this... I'll riot..
