Well it is "the tallest" in the world and the top part does have observation towers/restaurants and whatever else you want to put up there...so it does have something 'more' to it than just a coaster...heck I'd visit..

As for Citywalk, BGT, etc. I hope this does not make it into any theme park as it will certainly be an eyesore and very unnecessary

I'd visit too, but like once or twice. If I really want to eat food and ride roller coasters, I can go to CityWalk/IOA for free, as I imagine most of this thing's target audience can as well.

I might visit once or twice if it wasn't in Orlando or Tampa, otherwise I wouldn't be inclined to go out of my way for it. I could see a real touristy beach getting it also, but I think it'd have more draw in Orlando.

Remember, this is a $100M attraction. So only a major player could do it. But Hard Rock Casino Tampa is in play. Fun Spot, Daytona, etc are out.

$100 Million?!? Yeah that really narrows down the players.

The restaurant/bar at the top eliminates the little guys, as well. Fun Spot has a hot dog counter, I don't see them trying to get into a real restaurant. Too extreme/expensive for Old Town, and bar eliminated Legoland. Doesn't "feel" Disney. Sea World makes more sense to me than BG for some reason--I'm thinking out by the old stables--but I don't get the sense that either park is looking to drop a lot of coin. Plus this doesn't seem terribly family-friendly. And I'm ruling out Universal because HateToFly seems stymied--seriously doubt this would be signed without he (or WhyLightBulb or the Spirit ...) hearing rumblings.

Miami would offer the best views, but where do you put it? By the arena? The only touristy area anymore is South Beach, and this just seems the opposite of everything in South Beach. Miami prides itself on not being Orlando, and this coaster just screams "Orlando." Daytona is a long-shot, but this is a huge step up financially from a run-down water park or a skycoaster.

My guess: I-Drive, not as a part of I-Drive Live, but a parcel within walking distance and sight of it. An attempt to siphon off some of the expected crowds, a higher-end version of the Fun Spot/Old Town situation in Kissimmee.

The only reason I've mentioned Citywalk is because a few months ago I mentioned Citywalk planned on making a major announcement on or around New Years Eve. To my knowledge that is still happening but I know of a few smaller tenant additions or changes nothing on this level.

With that being said if it comes to Orlando I'm going with Idrive Live or a group of investors for a new Project in Orlando. Then again I wonder if a group of investors could buy or lease a spot in Citywalk and plop this bad boy down? Regardless we will know all for the Polercoaster and CW by Jan 1st

I could kinda see this being a Miami thing. You go to Miami for the beaches and arguably nightlife. A single roller coaster would seem less redundant there than in Orlando.

According to Screamscape, Miami is getting it's own 1000' entertainment tower. It looks to be located at Bayside, which would be a great location for that type of thing. Between the built in Bayside business, the arena next door, and location by the cruise terminals, I could see it working. That being said, I don't know how that would affect the idea of bringing a polercoaster to Miami. I'd think it would be redundant, but nothing is impossible.

My guess would have been Bayside for this coaster but if Miami is getting it's own tower than likely not Miami although I could see this working in Miami. The point someone made about Vegas goes for Miami. A single roller Coaster attraction could work there.

The more I think about this...haven't there been some rumblings about the Hard Rock casino in Tampa looking to be a bit "aggressive" with expansion? I thought I heard that recently, maybe connected to the string of gambling in Florida and Disney articles?

Not really. The whole thing is more than just the roller coaster. People will pay to go to the observation deck and pay ridiculously inflated prices to eat up their too.

Is doesn't "have" to be a major player but you will need some major investors.

I'm thinking it will fit in pretty good with the new section of I-Drive. One thing that interests me a lot though is the banner on the top. The only places I can think that would be able to fully utilize it would be Downtown Disney, City Walk, or Downtown Orlando to promote venues.

It's just concept art. I wouldn't look too far into it (especially since it appears to depict TWO separate coasters.)

Wherever this thing goes, I hope it's well designed if they intend to put a restaurant, etc. on top. Otherwise you'll be feeling constant vibrations from the coaster.

The concept art only depicts one coaster, red up, blue down.
