SNM is tonight right?
Really curious to hear @Grabnar's thoughts after doing Life and Trust first. That's going to be a very rare order of operations.
SNM is tonight right?
We did SNM first on Fri evening to ensure we had a good baseline before going to the new show which in retrospect I kinda wish I’d reversed. Structurally L&T is a more beginner friendly version of the format with a much easier to follow plot. There’s a lot more intersection of the characters and similar themes so if you follow anyone you’ll see more at L&T than at SNM. The sets at L&T are also newer and have a better flow to them and have some VERY impressive technology built in that I’d really like to go back and see again.Really curious to hear @Grabnar's thoughts after doing Life and Trust first. Just wanted to say you did this to me @Parkscope Joe and @Clive, I learned it from you OKAY
Currently going to be back in NYC in Aug to take my sis to SNM before it closes out...
Me whenever anyone lets me talk about Sleep No More//I learn they're a fan
Still trying to get an August trip together so I can catch SNM one more time and start exploring Life and Trust. If I can't make it happen, I'll be back in the city for Thanksgiving.
lmk if you’ll be there in mid-Aug, I’ll buy you a drink at Conwell’sMe whenever anyone lets me talk about Sleep No More//I learn they're a fan

Also thank you to everyone for letting me sneakily link to illustrations by Tom of Finland onto the forum.I'm still hopeful they can run the show in some capacity a few more times in the fall before it closes. Just makes sense. Super excited to see L&T in *looks at watch* 48 hours but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't actually here for Oh Mary.
Well, I was supposed to fly back Friday, I'll leave it at that.
- Tin Building - Grabbed drinks and dinner here before the show and had a blast. It's a mixed use building run by one chef that is part market, part bar, and part mini restaurants. It was really fun to grab some wine, walk around looking at cool stuff, and having some of the best tacos I've ever had. Pricy but I wholy recommend it. It's about a 10 min walk from...
- Life & Trust - The big one, the new permanent immersive theater install that is slated to be the replacement for the mythical Sleep No More once the landlords kick em out. The show really lived up to my own hype and I cannot wait to go back. I'll leave spoilers out of this as it's still in previews.
- Oh Mary! - An insane, Loony Tunes romp through an ahistorical Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Lincoln's assasination. Cole somehow manages to embrace the temporarily disgraced energy of Moira Rose, the physical comedy of Daffy Duck, and insult comedy of Lisa Lampanelli. This thing is proper Stupid and the jokes never stop. Easily funnier than Book of Mormon and one of the most clevar things I've ever seen. This comes with my full recommendation and I will judge you if you don't see it.
- Sleep No More pt 3 - New things: boy witch shower scene, followed Issa Taxi, hung with Fulton, saw Speakeasy a bunch, got passed for 6th floor twice, hung with the Portor and got a hand out I'm going to frame, and had an overall lovely evening in the hotel.
- Blue Man Group - our delay let us see one more show and we got some cheap BMG tickets. They closed the balcony so we were upgraded. Glad to see all the new material, from new music to new arrangements of classics.
- Paradise Lost - Tiki bar in mid-town, it has a semi-speakeasy vibes combined with effects that put Trader Sams to shame. Be warned, the drinks are expensive, even for NYC standars, but the food and merch were oddly affordable.

Oooh... did someone get a map?
I have a map, going to frame it.
Believe it or not, one of the few pieces of paraphernalia you can be gifted from that hotel that I don't have, so I'm a bit envious! I've got my
ring, paper boat, locket, charm, newspaper salt funnel...
Adam Lambert and Auli'i Cravalho to Join Cabaret on Broadway
The two will make their Broadway debuts in the hit revival.playbill.com
Bummed to see Cabaret has already devolved to an Adam Lambert level of stunt casting, but Auli’i Cravalho as Sally Bowles is kinda inspired.
I am really happy to see Oh, Mary has extended its Broadway run into November now so I might be able to catch it in October. It’s set box office records at the theater it’s playing in, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they extend again through the end of the year.
