BEAK AND BARRELL RESERVATIONS WENT LIVE YESTERDAY.
I managed to get a res for my trip in October

I finally got through the queue... scrolled down... yes, one reservation still open for 7:20 p.m. That's perfect. Clicked the button... too late. The reservation had been snatched by someone else.

Ah well, now I have a project for the next month. Or I'll try to walk up, like a loser.

Implication here being that Magic Kingdom is possibly not getting the enhanced dynamite finale from Disneyland?

Seems like you'd want to lead with that if it was part of the refurb (I know they still include the boilerplate "there's more magic yet to discover" disclaimer).

Seems like you'd want to lead with that if it was part of the refurb (I know they still include the boilerplate "there's more magic yet to discover" disclaimer).

They didn't, but like I said, it seems like that would have been the more logical upgrade to promote because so many fans have been asking for it.

It could well be part of the project, but I would have led with that, and saved the cavern update for the "more enhancements to be discovered later."

There's something hilarious to me how this was announced *during* the Disneyland Panel, as that was meant to celebrate the new book and documentary coming out, in spite that our Tomorrowland is in more desperate need to be fully reworked for a good majority of it.

Also not shocked there is a new Robo Walt, wonder if it'll do the same process of archival audio.

In theory, I love the idea of essentially adding a new intro scene with Walt Disney, and assuming they don't totally wreck the existing scenes (I'm all in favor of updating, but I'm uneasy about the potential for terrible writing), this should be an excellent update.

Unfortunately I think a reworking is necessary. You can't follow up 20-year jumps with a 100-year jump and maintain any sort of continuity. Desperately needs some sort of 70s/80s interlude with microwaves and VCRs and MTV, tho I agree, I don't trust modern Disney to write it.

Assuming we could bank on good writing (not a given!), I'd go:

Scene 1 -- 1900s (basically as-is)
Scene 2 -- 1940s (basically as-is, but moved into the second position)
Scene 3 -- 1980s (new)
Scene 4 -- 2020s and beyond (new)

So 40-year jumps instead of the original 20. Still preserves two original scenes, with two new scenes.
