The way the world is now, the streaming rights of content are going to outweigh any kind of theme park aspects a great deal. At some point, these streaming services are going to start cannibalizing each other. All the cord cutters are going to realize that they are paying as much for streaming services as they were for cable and start dropping the ones they don't watch/don't have enough content.

That’s the beauty of cutting the cord, though. You don’t HAVE to sign up for anything. If I want to sign up for HBO Max for a month or two, I’ll do it, but then I can drop it. My staples I’ll probably always have are Netflix, Hulu and Disney+.

Even Disney+ I would’ve dropped for much of this year if I didn’t have the 3-year deal, but I’ll be getting my money’s worth from that in 2021 alone and at $4.16/month ($150) through November 2022, it’s a great deal. And tbh, even Hulu or Netflix I’d be willing to cancel for a few months here or there if the price gets too ridiculous. They put out a lot of stuff on Netflix, but I watch it very little of late.

I’ll never pay as much as I was for cable because I won’t allow it to happen.

Spot on. I recently cancelled my Sky account and switched to Now TV, same content but I can cancel it whenever I want and no need for an 18 month contract. I can also have my home broadband as a business expense due to Covid. I've gone from £120 to £25 a month. Sport, in particular, can be bought as a day pass for £10 instead of £45 a month and I was lucky if I was watching a single game a month plus you can have months with no content.

As long as you stay on top of what you're watching and have your services set up accordingly, there are massive savings to be had and the expanding services are offering more content than ever before.

I use OTA and free streaming . I'm not a new series or movie person so occasionally I watch one from Prime. Could not stand paying cable for 400 channels that I don't care about.
