I did the orange side a week after someone died on the ride many years ago (short wait time) and was very disappointed. The cgi on the tiny screen was laughably bad and the ride never delivered on it's promises. It's the worst sceenz ride ever in the most stunning exterior building.

The launch is really the only thrilling part.

Nick's right...they're really small. And then they are reflected somehow.
Yea the real screen is above and reflected onto an angled mirror behind the "window'. If you crouch down and look up you can see the real screen above, and it's even smaller than it appears in the reflection.

While the new narrator certainly isn't as bad as our friend over at Flight of Passage....but who are directing these new videos? Her performance is so bland. Not really inviting a sense of fun or adventure.

My theory on that is they want to keep a sense of calmness during the preshow given the ride's unfortunate history.

That makes some sense. It's an unfortunate choice for the ride experience though.

After the "incident" (s) (yes, plural) a big part of what turned people off to the ride was how the preshows and warnings were seen as stressful and scary.

In other news, wait times seem much better between the two sides now. We shall see how long that lasts.

Yes. Much more even wait times with a different green mission. And I'm seeing a lot of happy little kids riding (and even re-riding.) Kids asking which dot to stand on to be the pilot is so cute. I'm pleased with the update.

Game in the M:S post-show was refurbished to reduce the amount of game stations and make the exit walkway wider:

From magic. So a pitch concept for the Space pavilion back when it was supposed to be retrofitted into the horizons building was bought at auction and posted by Disneydocs.net

EPCOT Space | Disney Docs

Pretty interesting to see Disney was at least thinking of incorporating the Horizons ride system into the new pavilion. The main attraction would have been a very early version of what looks like Soarin but with guests standing on a platform that would tilt in front of the large screens (page 15).

Some fantastic stuff in there.
