I guess the issue is that we already have a very similar ride here in Hollywood (with a similar aesthetic). This isn't like how both IOA and UOF have "scoop" rides. This would be two of the same ride system within the same park.

Though, that didn't stop DCA from adding Spiderman :clown:

I get your point... HOWEVER. Disney has multiple parks that have more than one ride using the same ride system, why can't Universal? Especially for this ride in particular. The stories are different enough to be in the same park. Instead of a HP expansion this is what they should add to USH instead imo.

Ok so here is my question and something I am gonna hold over creative since they talked about it a lot in promo stuff.

Can you “feel” the monsters actually breathing on you? How close do we get to these guys?

The Dragon, Spiders, and Dementors on Forbidden Journey would be a good metric for distance, especially the ones intended to give you a jumpscare.

What about a breathing effect? Was any of that working?

You do get close to several of them but can’t say I felt any breath effects. There is a blood splash effect from the Wolfman but that’s the only like visceral effect that I saw. Besides the fire from the phantoms organ and Draculas first scene had a heat effect similar to Spider-Man’s doc ock “things are starting to heat up” scene

It’s probably randomized per rider

Was anything as scary as the demrntors? The spiders scare me more (again, severe irrational fear) but the dementors ARE SPOOKY.

This is coming from someone who's too scared of trying HHN.

I’d say wolfman is probably the scariest part of the attraction

I know it's early, but how would you rate this compared to other Universal dark rides?

Can you answer a few questions for those of us with some physicality issues?

1) is there ever a point where you can't figure out if you're upside down (anything disorienting that confuses your brain from distinguishing up from down)?

2) is there any spinning? (Such as Men in Black, or Spider-Man) If so, how many spins would you say?

3) Is there significant g-force when the vehicle moves?

4) Is the overall flow of the ride comprised of constant circular motions like Forbidden Journey? I remember FJ made me feel like I was being constantly pulled back and forth as opposed to flying.

5) Do you ever lay fully on your back, or lay fully flat forward facing the ground?

6) and finally, would you say you spend the majority of the ride experience vertical (upright), or primarily tilted?

Thank you so much in advance for anyone willing to help!! :D

1and 2. Nope
3. There was one or two moments where you get pulled towards something that feels a little intense but nothing crazy.
4. It definitely didn’t feel the same as FJ to me.
5.There is a moment where you’re on your back facing upward but doesn’t go as far back as the Whomping Willow scene
6.you are mostly upright

What percentage of the ride is screen-based (one of my biggest gripes about dark rides)?

Sounds amazing btw, thanks for the review and info.

The Wolfman, he’s my favorite monster so I’m always excited to see him in everything, my only dislike was a lot of the technical problems that were happening, which will be ironed out eventually.

Id say about 30%. They use them for a few scenes with the characters as cgi versions, but it looks pretty good. Mostly it’s used to enhance the backgrounds of the animatronics. There’s no dome sections like fj.

Believe the hype. An amazing ride from start to finish and that’s with half the AAs not even working when I rode. There’s so much happening at once that you’ll definitely need to ride again. The GP is gonna love this one
