Hope the environments for Charro and Cadejo are a little more differentiated this time around. Very, very hyped. Really interested in seeing how Cucuy is different this year.

If Monstruos last year took place in the mausoleum, I wonder which area of the cemetery this one takes place in?

I personally am very excited about this, and would fully expect it to be one of the best this year, as HHN Hollywood clearly knows how to do LatAm monsters. El Cucuy is a great character - shades of a Freddy-like boogeyman - and both El Charro and El Cadejo seem like obvious options for big impressive animatronics or puppets given the animals (horse and werewolf) involved. The only real flaw for me with Monstruous last year was that Tlahuelpuchi and La Lechuza weren't always sufficiently differentiated (both bird-like monsters), and I think the three featured in Monstruous 2 will each be unique enough to avoid that issue. (Of course, competing with the El Silbón gore and giant animatronic from last year will be a tall order!)

FINALLY got a chance to catch up on this house announcement since I was at the park yesterday. It sounds amazing. This & Dead Exposure are my hype train. Let's see if the rest of the lineup can match this energy.

I wish they could've announced the SZ for French St too. And of course, the expected return of "Dia De Los Muertos" plaza.

Treat it as an Epic Universe land reveal, complete with fly-through video

FiveFires coverage has an updated look at this house & El Cucuey figure was installed in the outdoor section.

This should end up being a good house. Just hard to imagine it without show mode & monsters. Definitely excited.

I think the iteration from last year will end up being slightly better, by virtue that some scenes I saw in the pics look a little similar to those last year…but I think this will be a solid house regardless.

Personally this was my 2nd anticipated maze and it looks like it is going to stay that way. I also can't wait to see it with the props and monsters in action it just feels empty right now.

Was able to see both casts last night during the 5 times I did it. A few "empty scares" (including El Charro's pony puppet, El Cucuey's bed) due to no tagout, but it was the least offensive/obvious.

LOVE the living room "shadow of doom" effect.

also this house has the best puppeteers, especially compared to their neighbor. Very aggressive.

Looks like the latin america legends/folklore will potentially continue for at least another year or two


The only thing I'd like to see is additional photo-op characters added to the Plaza. Maybe have 2 others to swap with Llorona & Katrina.

I hope we get Monstruos 3 to round off the trilogy and another great SZ, but after that I’m ready for this area to be something else. It’s been exclusively Latin America themed for a couple years now.

I'm fine with this because it makes it a tradition/staple of Hollywood's event like the Terror Tram, fire towers, former go-go dancers, & Chucky (who got stuck with an insult to his event legacy)

I do hope that whatever does eventually replace the Latin American trend continues the combo: plaza, house, SZ

Yeah, I think it’s something that really works in Hollywood and the “mini land” it creates is the closest the event comes to creating semi-themed environments like you see in Orlando (or even down the road in Buena Park)

A maze based on duendes would be a REALLY good concept. Surprised none of the first two iterations have included them.
