Details are still a little vague on this one, but it looks like a "socially distant", walk-thru haunt in Riverview, FL (about 20 minutes from Tampa).

Entering through the pumpkin patch, guests will find at least FIVE different haunted experiences. While many of the details are yet to be released, we do know that each venue will offer a unique take on the Halloween holiday. For example, a "Fun Zone" area will include Halloween-themed carnival games, bounce houses, and a 24' dual lane slide. Scaractors and other entertainment will roam this area to add to the ambience.

Creative Director, Josh Morrow, described the next haunt as a "sensory experience." He wouldn't reveal any information other than parties will enter by themselves and the haunt will be "pitch black."

The other three haunts will be "elaborate trails," each with their own theme, backstory, and unique effects. All of the trails will be outdoors, allowing a constant flow of fresh air around and between guests and performers. To maintain the scares while accommodating for safety, Morrow explained that there will be a focus on "sensor triggered" scares instead of the traditional in-your-face startle scares. This will allow guests to experience that 'jump' feeling without encountering an actor at a close distance. Additionally, no more than 6 people will be allowed into a single attraction at a time - not only maintaining safety measures, but also providing a more secluded, intense haunt experience!

Creating a socially distanced Halloween event doesn't just stop at scares, however. Morrow and his team are dedicated to providing a safe, clean environment. All guests and staff will be required to wear face masks. Performers will also wear masks, but these will be blended into their costumes. Along with hand sanitizers available at all entrances and exits, there will be a "clean team" dedicated to the constant sanitation of the entire event venue.

Morrow's Nightmare will be open select evenings beginning October 2. Haunts will be open from 7:30pm-12am each night.
