If you knew Fox and Marvel's relationship, it's really not.

I can tell you that Fox and Marvel have at least talked recently, but nothing regarding the MCU. Marvel (note: Not Marvel Studios) at still listed as producers on all of Fox's Marvel films.

Marvel Studios though? Now that they've spun off from Marvel, the relationship with Fox has gotten worse. Stupidly enough, their relationship with Marvel themselves now has a lot of tension and bad blood. The resurgence in X-Men comics & toys in the near future is to ride off the x-posure (tee hee) of the next X-Men film, which has always been a profitable decision in the past. Perlmutter is doing it to spite Feige.

It sounds like the bad-blood between Fox and Marvel may be coming to an end soon.

Fox and Marvel team up for X-Men TV spin-offs 'Hellfire' and 'Legion' - CNET

It's misleading. It's not Marvel Studios, who handles the MCU, just Marvel themselves.

Edit: I hate taking from Wikipedia, but this does summarize it quite well:
"In August 2015, Marvel Studios was integrated into the Walt Disney Studios, with Feige reporting directly to Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn instead of Marvel Entertainment CEO Isaac Perlmutter. Marvel Television and Marvel Animation were left under Marvel Entertainment and Perlmutter's control."

Thanks for correcting me. I am just going to give up on the Marvel rights stuff, it is way to complicated at this point with who hates who, who has rights to what, etc. From now on just let me know if I'm happy about something or not.

Edit: Please don't take this as me being rude or anything of the sort. I just can't keep track of it anymore.

Haha, it's cool. I get how it can be too much. I used to work with Toy Biz (which owned Marvel) back in 2002-2004 so I know quite a bit of people whose careers transitioned to Marvel Studios and regular Marvel (legal positions that were absorbed in to the mouse back in 2009). That's the only way I can keep track of it.

The problem is that you can't do much on space. Excluding Toon Lagoon theatre, I can't see a shred of hope that Doom is staying; considering if the plans originally for Dooms space.

I posted this on the hulk thread, but all it takes is a Hulk redesign and dropping storm force and you have room for quite a bit without touching backstage. Easily could drop a transformers sized building. If they can tear those backstage buildings out or move remove Cafe 4 and there is a ton of room to expand.

I hope we get a little more than just another transformers, though.

Does anyone else think a trackless MIB-style interactive ride would be a good fit for the Avengers attraction? It wouldn't be something super screens-based, (which I think might be an issue if they did, as I can't think of much they could do without it being too similar to Spider-Man right next to it) and they could base it off the climax of one of the Avengers movies. Shoot up Ultrons and stuff with the Avengers.

In terms of space, I imagine it would have to take up Doom, Storm Force, and potentially Cafe 4/Kingpin Arcade.

I know I'm contradicting myself, but Transformers is the best format, but hopefully some AAs. It would fit a Stark expo facade.

If you want to say a possible size, if DR. Doom is gone, and Café 4, and the Arcade. You could do this without even harming both Hulk and Stormforce. It wouldn't even affect the main backstage road leading in and out of IOAs backstage.

If you want to go in acreage, its actually about the size of Kong if you go in that sort of ride building sense.

Well they are in the process of redoing Hulk right now, and there are reports of footers being ripped out on the back half of the ride. If they are going that far, for what reason would they not redesign it to make more room for expansion? Hell they may redo hulk, tear out stormforce, doom, the arcade and the cafe and do some monster new area. They could just about do another diagon alley and gringotts.

You also have to remember that there were people here saying that Hulks layout is staying entirely the same. So the thing going on if you will, the heavier the track is, the supports will have to be redone as well, hence causing the Footers to be ripped. It doesn't always mean a entirely new layout, especially if you consider what type of train they are bringing, and the type of track that will replace the current track.

I think that the reason supports are being removed is because there will be some differences in height in the second half of the ride.

If the exact same layout is staying, the height has to aswell.

Not necessarily, would just mean the incline/decline would be different and track piece longer. The only reason why I think this might be the case is because the second half seems off, so perhaps a few feet higher in a place could get the pacing etc better.

It very well may stay the same, but if you have to order new track, new supports, and have to redo the footers, why would you not redesign the back half to free up more space?

My logical guess would be due to if there was any change of the track; it could alter the friction and velocity of the trains in a negative way. Although I could be wrong about that, its not a bad hunch to atleast wager as a possibility..even since the trains will be even heavier than the past iteration of it.

The argument some people are making about the reason the track, and everything else, is being replaced is heavier trains. Well if the trains are heavier, the whole thing had to go back through engineering at B&M anyway. Maybe it all worked out the same, maybe it didn't. But if they went through engineering again, there is no logical reason, they couldn't change the layout. Honestly, at this point, I'm expecting a completely new layout. Easier to market it as a whole new ride that way.

I'm not trying to be argumentative here. This whole thing is just baffling to me and a redesign to free up space is one of the few things to me that could explain why they are doing things the way they are.
