I think what?helps WnW attendance is the fact that they praticslly give away admission. I was checking things to do for a free d with a group of kids and that was the cheapest option...

I'm not sure why Wet & Wild has such a bad rap. It has the best slides out of all the water parks in Orlando, if you ask me.

Back before Uni bought it, it was really dirty and the people there weren't exactly well behaved. Think of mallrats but water park/public pool edition.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Universal Water Park Patents. Articulated Water Slide -Omni-directional Wave Pool- Sand

I think that a round wave pool may be awkward to park flow on its own, maybe since its round it can be under the volcano?

Or maybe a hotel built right next to it with 2500 rooms... If they play their cards right, Cabana will fill that place right up, for the third day of their stay. The buses and walkway will only bolster the numbers. It's all quite cleverly thought through.

Visit the Water Park during the day..do dinner at Cabana and play some Bowling at night...sounds like a perfect 3rd day set-up

The more I think about it the happier I am that we are getting the waterpark here rather than the WnW location. That could go for a WAY more expansive resort without a waterpark

Given the location, I think this will mostly be used by resort guests. Similar to the water park at Atlantis.

Why is that an Italian language patent?

Given that expectation, do you think it will draw more, less or about the same as WnW?

Add up the number of rooms at UOR including Cabana plus the two new towers, plus the hotel complex going in right next door between Cabana and RP. That is 10-15K people right there. Literally right there, within walking distance. Then drop a big surprise cookie right in the middle of it all. I can see where the cookie might well win out. Anyone else?

What is considered great attendance for a day at Blizzard? I have no idea what the numbers are.

Yes, but only a certain % of those guests will be visiting the water park with the vast majority being at the theme parks.

On top of this, from what I have heard, Portofino and RP might be getting another tower, thus more rooms

I still managed to read the body of the text in English. Very interesting. Especially the chute being able to be adjusted to change direction

Agreed, it'll be really interesting to see how they apply that tech. Choose your slide intensity? Every time you slide you never know what you're getting? Design your own experience? Really exciting stuff!

Btw I first heard about this patents through the UUOP Podcast and looked them up. Giving credit.

Didn't HTF or someone on here mention these patents like a year or two ago? I remember having this conversation about slides changing directions a long while ago on the forum.
