Nothing. The fact they could cram 7 attractions and a plethora of interactive and play areas in that space without sacrificing ET made me giddy. Rework ETs entrance, use that expansion plot, and go to town. They'll need ET with the 20% jump in Attendance.
As long as they use that same amount of space and the different levels, I'll be more than happy with whatever IPs they pick. If they cut the expansion pad and don't do levels- essentially cutting the land in half, I'll be a little bummed.
This is a lot of questions, but I don't care if you guys don't try to respond to them all or even only respond to one thing:
Do you guys think they are going to have stuff underneath some or all of the higher level walkway in Japan and/or Orlando? Is it still going to be similar to what was in that early map? How much room do they have for stuff underneath the upper level walkways? Will Mario Kart and/or other attractions that seem like they have entrances on the upper level take up a lot of the room underneath the upper level's walkways? If there's walkways underneath the upper walkways, do you guys think there's only going to be one level underneath the upper walkway or could there be two levels underneath the upper one (at least for some places underneath there)? I could see them putting some old arcade games underneath there somewhere and maybe some more recent ones. I think they put in some new ones at various Dave and Buster's businesses. There's a Luigi's Mansion one, but I don't know if they'd put it in there in case they wanted to make a Luigi's mansion ride later. There's also a Vive Mario Kart adaption recently that's been made, but I don't know if they'd put that one either because they already have a new ride. (
Mario Kart Arcade GP VR Gameplay And More - YouTube They could also have some sports games reminiscent of various Mario Sports games and the same for games to do with Mario Party.
Could any of these companies that seem to have plans for future autonomous cars that are connected to the internet or some other kind of network to communicate with other autonomous cars help Universal make this Mario Kart attraction or is that stuff still too far off into the future?
Having seen some people discussing Mario's height in the Odyssey game, it makes me wonder how tall they will make the Mario characters be if they appear in suits or with costumes and makeup in the park.
Is there any possibility of something like a Kirby cafe or a LoZ themed business appearing in CityWalk or maybe multiple things even including an arcade?
It's interesting that Nintendo is making two Metroid games soon. I wonder if it's because of the shrinking console sales in Japan and therefore catering more to what sells better in the Western Hemisphere and/or because Universal likes the games possibly because they have some scary parts to them and that is something they have tended to like to have in their parks sometimes. They could change the MIB area and Fear Factor area to be possibly based on just Metroid or it and something else like Luigi's Mansion. I'm not sure which would fit better where, but maybe Luigi's Mansion might seem like a better transition to Harry Potter than Metroid, but that puts the Mansion farther away from where the main Mario area will be.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention that I think Universal could eventually do something similar with Splatoon that they have done with Minions in regards to the water gun.
Last Universal Summer Festival is coming back with a lot more minions with the Minions Water Surprise Party which will also involve snow. Promises to be the largest and wettest event at Universal with the new hot items being:
This year they are expanding to open more refill locations to fill up your water shooters and stay drenched at USJ.
I wonder if this is like a test for a system for a water area involving Splatoon. Do the Minions ever use water squirt guns like this in the movies?
Also, I forgot that I think the new Rabbids game seems like it could be made into some sort of laser tag kind of attraction. Rabbids seem kind of like Minions so I wouldn't be surprise if Universal likes them. I'm not sure where they would put it however.
