I'd really, really like a
Pokemon Snap ride designed in that way, and I think it could work really well. The vehicles would be similar to MIB with the ride environment laid out like ET where you raise/lower and go through different environments. Guests would be armed with cameras that score similar to MIB and based off the original game (is the pokemon centered in the frame? Is there more than one? You can see how scoring worked in the game
here).
Borrowing from the game again, rerides could be more interesting by not having all the same Pokemon show up. Taking a picture of that rare one (Mew, Lugia, etc) would get you extra points. If they involved multiple ride paths (at least 2 places the track could split?), that would be icing on the cake.
If they did this, the ride could have its own area too. Can you imagine going to an actual PokeMart (buy "real" Rare Candies or Super Potions) or visit the Pokemon Center and seeing Nurse Joy giving a Pokemon care there. Universal could go for a unique social/interactive area by having Pokemon battle tournaments daily or something... there's quite a bit they could do here.
Now I make myself sad if this doesn't happen.
