I am skeptical of the price they have, seems too low. I don't see it being cheaper than switch OLED, but I guess I could be wrong.

It just sounds like the guy is describing the launch of Switch 1. January reveal, March Release, Mario Kart 8, Skyrim, Mario Odyssey announcement. Like, it's a possible timeline, but it's also stupid easy to come up with.

I'm skeptical of the information for other reasons, but I would be shocked if we do not get a new Mario Kart and a new 3D Mario within the first year. They tend to be quintessential to Nintendo's new system launches, and neither has seen a new installment in a very long time.

I 100% agree. That's why I think coming out with a Switch 2 "leak" primarily saying those is incredibly unimpressive and uninteresting. It's the most warm take you could have on the subject really.

NextHandheld has revealed the Switch 2 dock on X. He’s kinda a goofball, but this is definitely real. Looks good. I guess there’s supposed to be a UI leak in a few hours, we’ll see how that turns out.

EDIT: for context on the polar bears… if you didn’t know, he generates AI backgrounds to avoid revealing his location and workplace information, that would quickly reveal who he is.

We have now gotten to the point in the Switch 2 rumors and leaks where even the reveal of the console itself is no longer spared. It is supposed to be officially happening by the end of this fiscal…

Eurogamer has jumped on as well which were the ones behind the leaks of what the original Switch would be.

Rumor: multiple insiders now saying Switch 2 reveal coming this week (update)

Update: Eurogamer has corroborated the January 16th reveal date, as well as info that the reveal will be “a focus on the much-leaked console itself, rather than a deep dive into its software line-up”.

Also apparently this will be just a trailer and not a full reveal. I’m expecting teases of games like how the first Switch trailer showed Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe before confirming what they actually were.

Eurogamer and Nate have said the reveal is going to focus more on hardware than it will on software.

Guessing they’ll be doing it like the Nintendo Switch Lite, but in this case having Furukawa out to talk about the new features of the console (such as the C button, OS changes, joycon upgrades, backwards compatibility and Nintendo’s DLSS tech) and it’s suggested retail pricing (assuming it is going live on preorders on Thursday).

I'm willing to trust Eurogamer and Nate on this matter of it being on system specifics and changes from NSW1 to NSW2.

Also a dumb thought but one I feel compelled to ask the mods, @Jake S @Brian G., will the thread title be changed when the console name is announced (that of Nintendo Switch 2), or will we keep it as Next Gen Nintendo Console.

I want this thing mainly based on what it does....so hoping they can do that well then give us the launch titles and hoping one of them is a BIG game like a Mario, I feel like Breathe of the Wild was the perfect launch title

Excited to get my hands on it when it launches. Thinking that with the backwards compatability, that I might be finally diving into Xenoblade to see what people have loved (especially with potential DLSS upgrades).

Both things can be true. I always thought it was weird that people thought the button activates mouse mode. Couldn’t it just be programmed to automatically Switch modes once you get it in position?

According to Zachy, we finally have a bit more detail on the computing power--and it has been since taken to those on Famiboards to give the image above the links to show how the Switch 1 and the Switch 2 will be differing in computing power.

The NSW2's Handheld will be running at 9.5 times the amount of power compared to Handheld, and the docked is going to seemingly place the console at around nearly 29 times the graphical power of the NSW1. This should enable for Backwards Compatability the ability for the console to be a lot more healthier depending on how Nintendo optimizes and does their black magic.

Just like the Switch 1 down ports are going to be more possible than some people think. Don’t forget this isn’t just about raw power but also more modern architecture.

I just want stuff like Marvel Rivals to be able to come to it and Fortnite...Overwatch and so on not play like crap

Also...I hope its happening but....like we have not heard anything from Nintendo yet
