Imran Kahn on Resetera I believe has insinuated that he wouldn't be surprised of a markup going as high up to 600-650 for US as a result. Genuinely doubt it'll go that high; as it would be considered suicidal and incredibly dim-witted of them.

Expecting 500-550 (Base-Bundle) with the reinstatement of a ambassador program, the F2Pification of the Welcome Tour, and a free "Trial" to base NSO.

Our money is worth less, and companies are raising prices to keep their own profits at unsustainable levels. The average person is hit twice by this and the company gets away with it.

If the console bundle remains $500, I can justify $450 for the console and $50 for Mario Kart. If either go much higher than that, than I legitimately might not get either for a long while. I have been a diehard Nintendo fan for my entire life. I bought a Wii U day one lmao. The launch of Switch 2 was one of the things I was most excited for going into this year, along with Epic with SNW. I had full expectation of buying into it Day 1, but they could end up losing me here. That's legitimately huge.

The launch of Switch 2 was one of the things I was most excited for going into this year, along with Epic with SNW. I had full expectation of buying into it Day 1, but they could end up losing me here. That's legitimately huge.

I have a similar story. Grew up on Super Nintendo and N64. Got the Gameboy color for Christmas when i was 6. Gamecube was my 10th birthday present; My Dad literally took me and my friends to Toys R Us to get it that night and we all ran around the store thinking about what we needed and what to get so that when we got back to my house we could crack it open. In High School, i worked an entire summer to afford the Wii. Went to a midnight launch that November, sat outside a Best Buy for 7ish hours with 200 other people; It was so cold, but when i got in there and was handed my console and Twilight Princess, it was so worth it. I had a wiiU, traded in for a Switch when they came out (still have every iteration of gameboy though!); Was working at Gamestop at the time, so it was easy enough. Now that i'm an old man at the ripe age of 33, i balk at the pricing like everyone else knowing full well i'm going to buy it at launch all the same. We were made this way.

Delete if political, but what's the point of waiting when it could literally change by the week or by the day. Yesterday there were under one assumption about tariffs and today they're under another. Depending on the response to Vietnam's tariffs, the price could change yet again. When the market is this unpredictable there's little purpose to waiting besides giving yourself more time to market the console for everywhere that isn't the United States.

That’s actually amazing.

In other news I love the full breakdown of Zelda Notes and am so happy that it doesn’t require an online membership. Also that my old fully complete BotW save will carry over

Kind of weird but I guess they wanted you to be able to still put the game into a regular Switch if you wanted to. This will really only affect Prime 4 for me and it’s probably advantageous to just by the package in my case.
