Prime 4 looks absolutely insane and I’ll definitely be getting Galaxy 2 and the Donkey Kong DLC. I was almost completely disappointed in the Switch 2 Edition of Wonder until they showed there would be single player content. Yoshi looks interesting too. Other than that, yeeeesh. The fact the only big third party announcements was Dragon Quest and Resident Evil is going to disappoint a lot of people. Also I wouldn’t have closed on Fire Emblem. It might sound crazy but with all the Galaxy love I’m going to be shocked if the next 3D Mario isn’t Galaxy 3.

Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, and Final Fantasy VII: Part 3 will be released on Nintendo Switch 2.

My guess is because while they’re committed to bringing it over Rebirth isn’t ready to actually show yet.

They will apparently run in 4K on Switch 2 with an update. I really hope I don’t miss that with Galaxy just because I have it through 3D All Stars.

It does not appear that the All-Stars version of Galaxy will be getting any of the new enhancements unfortunately...

Oh well. I’ve already completed it 100% with Mario and Luigi and the new storybook is being added to Galaxy 2 so native 4K is the only thing I’ll be missing. I can’t complain too much because I do still have Sunshine in widescreen which is unlikely to be put into an NSO version. The game did get a small lowkey update in June focused on Switch 2 performance so fingers crossed.

I’m also seriously tempted by the Amiibo. It would be just the second Amiibo I’ve ever bought. The first was Young Link for the Fierce Deity armor in BotW. The Metroid ones look sick too.

Yeah, I wasn't too invested in the hype myself, but this one is definitely going to upset a lot of people. Lots of smaller or niche titles, but still no new heavy hitters like Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, Smash Bros, 3D Mario.

DK DLC is ridiculous. I love that game to death; but for $20, it better give me a Stardew Valley-tier content for value ratio. No game is worth $90 for all of it's content, and to show it off so soon after release just feels scummy. An Odyssey-style Peach's Castle post-game world was the only thing the game was missing. You couldn't have possibly fit that in the base game? Or even just added it as free post-launch content?

It makes me really deeply worried for Mario Kart World. That game has a steep content for value ratio. Racing is fun but there's no content to play through, and unlocking characters is dreadful. The only way I can justify it being $80 is if it has a Splatoon-type update system where you essentially pay for the Booster Course Pass up front. We are definitely not getting that. I'm anticipating paying $20 for Petey Piranha in a year or two.

I used to love seeing new amiibo as a (soon-to-be-former) collector of them, but man, I just can't get excited for individual figures sold for $25-$40 dollars. It'll sit on my shelf and collect dust, I do not need these. I remember when they were $12 a figure.
