I'm still holding out hope AK gets that Mysterious Island hybrid that was once planned for the Avatar plot. They still have a lot of room behind Asia.

I've been hoping for the same thing for years now. I think this would be a sweet addition(s) to AK. My thinking is, that this being part of Asia in AK these would be attractions that are actually in Asia in the real world. This would probably make AK a serious contender for the #2 park at WDW. Also add in 20k leagues just like at TDS. Maybe have a kraken's head and tentacles come out from the middle of the water every 30 min.

IDK, Volcano Bay seems pretty original.

It is but as Izzy said water parks are a whole other realm. I was just talking about rides and lands

I honestly think they will. The only reason there is any hate for this land is because of it's IP and the time it took to build it. What we are actually getting here is really friggin cool

Yeah, I think a lot of people are skeptical of the IP, and that Disney will deliver. I remain optimistic.

Also, as was stated by the documents that the Sentinel found about using the parking garage for VB Parking, they are only looking at 17K on peak days and 1.2M to begin with.

The simple facts are this - Will this be great for UOR? Absolutely. Will this help with getting people to stay on-site? You bet. However, it's still a water park. Many people don't care for water parks to begin with, so i'm gonna have to say Avatar will easily see the most people out of all of the 2017 additions (which is where this convo began).

Completely true, but I also think a few of their visitors after doing Avatar will be asking which park has the Harry Potter land. I am sure it happens to an extent today. Goodness knows what their reply is. As is often said, this attraction will benefit all the parks.

Well, Kong is next year. So yes it will be open, but so will Frozen Ever After and Rivers of Light at DAK and Mako at SW in 2016.

Obviously Kong is the best of that bunch, but the point is, Kong doesn't really fit into what we were talking about. It was more about things opening in 2017.
